Bantu knot and flat twist out. Hair is 11 inches long on average and relaxed, texturised, permanent dyed but still acts like natural hair :-s
I can only tell them apart by their hairstyles! TK usually has her hair down while Cipriana loves her massive bun. They are too cute!!
APHOGEE CAME TO THE RESCUE! NO MORE CURLY GIRL FOR ME! NOT FOR EVERYBODY :(
I had to use the aphogee protein treatment because my hair has been over-moisturized. I am not the cg method though. I maybe going back to using clay, finding conditioner and shampoo is hard :( lol
My advice for those wanting to do the curly girl method, use a protein-moisture balance conditioner or do occasional protein treatments. Also, shampoo your hair too occasionally with a moisturizing shampoo. :)

Promised hair typing according to Andre Walker. (In backward order)
Top left: 4b & 4c you can see most of my hair consists of 4b & 4c via the shedding quantity. Top right: 4a or 3c not sure Center: 2b/c ends are bone straight roots are curly. Bottom far left: Side by side comparison. Notice the diameter of the circle of the 3c or 4a. Bottom middle: 1b noticed this fell on my face after twisting the rest of my hair lol. I have new growth of hairs like this and even when I bc’d I had some of these hairs. At first I thought I forgot to cut a relaxed bit but this was from my scalp! And it sheds and others grow like it. Weird! Bottom right: 1a or 1b
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....
I bought this organic nourishing conditioner because my regular morrisons conditioner did not have that many nutrients and I though that I had reached a level where my hair was normal. Unfortunately, my hair began to get dry and brittle -_____________- then I went to look for my regular morrisons conditioner and it seems like I am not the only one who loves it because it was out of stock. The alternative was buying the "for normal hair" of the morrisons range (the one I have been using is dry/damaged hair). Unfortunately, this has not been fun because my hair is at its worst!!! Tangled, soft, mushy, stretchy, dry, brittle combined >:( >:( >:( >:( I don't even know what to do and it's annoying because the "nourishing conditioner" was expensive and I have easily been enjoying my 85p conditioner which has been perfect!
Moral of the story: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
EDIT! The new nourishing conditioner was really moisturizing and I also foolishly deep conditioned over night. The problem was over-moisturized hair
Wooooow day 21 has results!!!!! I’m increasingly impressed. :O :O And this was before the leave-in!
Difference!!! Top picture day 2; bottom day 12 (I think)
Day 8. Just has leave-in hence the white particles again. Just showered so hair is still wet though not soaking wet.

Week 1 (7days) of Curly Girl. I dyed my hair with colour mask by Schwarzkopf. Top two pictures with filter. White particles are leave in. My hair is wet and freshly washed.
Accessories used because I was trying to feel better about my hair
Day 2 curly girl method. I’m tired of my dry and frizzy hair and too frequent bad hair days :(
I wasn’t happy with day 1 so no pictures haha!
Products: Cleansing: homemade bentonite clay wash Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap citrus orange
Conditioner: morrison’s jojoba conditioner (because it’s no cones and literally 8 ingredients excluding colouring. There are parabens though :/)
Leave-in: Giovanni direct leave-in. I heat this up so it can soak in.
Hair typing (without images)
I'm not really a fan of Andre Walker's hair typing system and I believe it is unhelpful. Leaves me feeling more confused and I think it is too restrictive. Some days my hair looks 4a, on others 4c, the back of my hair looks 4a some times and 3b/3c so where would I belong? Some people have "straight" African hair and are no where on the chart and some have clumpy hair that acts like mini dreadlocks (such as me) and not covered by the chart too.
I think black hair has its own sub-genre of hair, that is straight, curly, wavy and coily (our version of ringlets, no?). I am going to try to do a post and show what I mean through pictures and hopefully, the type 4, type 6 type whatever hair typing system will go one day and we'd be able to embrace the beauty of each others curls, coils, strings and waves :o)
I love natural hair :o)
Combating dandruff!
You are all set for your date tonight. You wearing this smashing new dress which accentuates all your curves. Your shoes are the bomb and your hair is styled in the latest fashion. You hear the door bell ring and you gracefully walk downstairs open the door. You arrive early to the restaurant, and you and your man are having a nice conversation and that is when the trouble all starts. Your scalp is sooooo itchy! You cannot concentrate on anything apart from the itch and unfortunately you cannot indulge in scratching it. The food is here and your trying not to thing about the nasty itch. Itch Itch Itch!
Many women are victims of this particular issue of dryness and dandruff. It is so common and so much research has gone into trying to combat this troublesome issue. What really causes dryness and dandruff? Many women (and some men!) would argue, 'I wash my hair every week', 'I grease/oil my scalp often', 'I have always had dry scalp I don't know why', 'I used someone's comb' etc. Some have accepted it as a permanent problem they have to deal with.
I, personally, is no stranger to this issue. If there is anyone who had suffered intensely from dryness and dandruff, it should be me. Even after washing my hair, it begins to itch, especially on the crown of my head, the exact middle! That area permanently used to itch (still does but only when I haven't washed or rinsed it after about 5 days). And I began to accept it as a permanent problem and gave up on anti-dandruff shampoos and hair products.
One day, while on kimmaytube's channel on youtube, reading her reply to someone's comment on this issue, I had a great idea to help with my itchy scalp. I am currently growing out my hair to be virgin/natural hair, that is without chemicals and in its natural state, so I get to watch a lot of her videos.
Now what I learnt is that our scalp produces natural oils to lubricate it so we don't really need any extra help from hair products on the scalp. Looking at the numerous chemicals we add on our hair from these hair products it is no wonder why our scalp begins to react by causing itching. In my opinion, I felt that when I add extra helping of oils and chemicals on my hair, my body reacts by not producing its own oils. So when I don't put oil on my scalp, it becomes dry and consequently I could get dandruff. Another thing is that because of relaxing and styling our hair, we don't get to wash our hair regularly which leaves the oils (either our natural oil or processed ones or both) on our scalp and as we know, oils don't dry up, they attract dirt and so all the dust and particulars are caught up in our scalp, sweat and bacteria are they living in happy harmony on our scalp. Should we be surprised when our scalp starts itching? Over-washing hair as well, disturbs the natural flow of our natural oils. Ideally, hair should be shampooed and always followed by a conditioner at least once a week but not everyday, except when using daily shampoos and conditioners. Hair should be rinsed out with just water everyday to prevent both dry scalp and hair (particularly useful if hair is natural/virgin). The scalp should also be massaged regularly to stimulate blood flow and help to stimulate the scalp to produce oils. I understand this isn't convenient for many but this is just the ideal method and I guess one can work around it to fit their daily routine. For example, a friend of mine whose hair is relaxed, sprays her hair with water and washes it every week, sometimes co-washing (washing only with a conditioner) in between. Doing kinky braids allows you to wash it and for the regular braids, hair can be sprayed with water and massaged, and synthetic oils avoided.
Hope this helps and feedback would be appreciated! Have a nice day!

hair journal
Because I lost my phone and all my pictures with it, I think I have to save my progress on an almost "undeletable" platform. Well for now not much to say about my hair apart from that it's getting loooong :D
