Ten years is a long time to be at sea.

        His duties keep him occupied, but Captain Turner often still longs for something MORE, to break up the monotony. And, with a sudden influx of pirate souls needing transporting to their afterlives, he seems to have found himself a bit of a purpose. The crew of the Dutchman have been working hard lately, with so many dying among the waves – but WHY do so many seem to be claiming some vengeful sea captain, appearing as dark whisps and trails of smoke, to be their killer?

Thus it was decided; he’d go after this man, whomever he may be. 

        Following leads takes a surprising amount of time, even for the Flying Dutchman – the fastest ship under the water, and still the fastest with a headwind, usually to its clear ADVANTAGE. However, it seems that the other’s ship is nowhere to be found, almost as if it disappears without a trace. It takes a long while… before luck strikes, and they find the vessel they’ve been seeking, ahead of them and one the surface. Will knows just needs to get CLOSE enough.

The Dutchman pulls upwards sharply, emerging from beneath the waves…

THE  FLYING  DUTCHMAN.  Salazar  is all too familiar with its tale.  A cursed ghost ship, one that ferries the souls of the dead.  Had this been three decades ago, he would not have taken the threat  seriously.  Now, however...  as a dead man walking, he knows all too well that such stories can, in fact, be matters of  REALITY.  It is with a thunderous crash of waves and a spray of water that the opposing ship makes its appearance;  the Spaniard’s eyes widen with intense focus, and he strides towards the rail of his ship.

❛ STEADY---! ❜  he commands, the harsh yells of the dead  ---  of his  CREW  ---  resonating from behind, down the wreck that is the Silent Mary.  The cannons are loaded, and he is  prepared  for battle, should the threat arise.  As the ghost ships near one another, a look of cold, sharp  AMUSEMENT  can be read in the marred features of Captain Salazar.  ❛ TELL ME, CAPITAN --- ❜  His voice resounds over the crashing of waves. Soon, it will be time to come  face  to  face  with this man.
