Making Up for My Past

Owen didn’t know when he’d fallen asleep, but when he did, it had been deep and dreamless. He didn’t feel when Shuichi had left him, but his sleep had become a little more disturbed. By the time the younger man had come back, he was wrapped up in the sheets, the fabric bunched up around his waist.

The gentle shake to his shoulder, had him sitting straight up, alert to what was going on around him. Relaxing slightly as he spotted Shuichi, he let out a soft sigh and he reached out to hold his hand. Giving it a little squeeze, he said, “I’ll get up…” Looking down at his lap, he gave a nervous little laugh and asked, “You don’t happen to have a robe, do you? I don’t think the pack would like to see my bare ass.”

He then reached out and cupped Shuichi’s cheek. Smiling softly, he said, “I don’t know if I told you, but I’m happy to see you this morning, Ichi.”

Shuichi blushed softly at the hand cupping his cheek, and he unconsciously nuzzled into hand once it was against his skin, stepping closer to the other wolf and feeling his body heat. After a moment he broke away from the other’s touch to find him something to cover up with, searching his room for a moment before coming back with his thin cotton yukata. He flushed slightly. “It’ll be short on you but um...it’ll keep you covered while you go get cleaned up...” He smiled softly and moved to the bed, stripping off the very sticky sheets and balling them up for the hamper. 

As he felt the hot spurt of cum against his belly, Owen finally let himself go, his own orgasm washing over him as he watched Shuichi find his bliss once again. The Omega made a small distressed noise and sat up, glancing at his clock blearily to see it was well into the early morning already. He yawned and squirmed out of bed, wrapping a blanket around him and making his way toward the house shower. Lee sucked in sharp unsteady breath, it was funny, that under Cole’s hand, it was everything the other Alpha could do, short of permanently maiming him to get any form of a reaction or emotion out of him, yet here he was with Shuichi, and just a simple touch of kindness, that seemed almost alien to him, nearly broke the mask that he had worked so carefully to constructed, that concealed decades of pain.

 "I promise.“ Lee said with a soft-fatigued smile, quick to figuratively repair the cracks, he knew he was being purposely vague (to shamed to go into much detail), however as long as the other wolf seemed to understand and tolerate (much to his relief) that what he did wasn’t for some kind of cheap perversion or thrill, he felt that their friendship was headed in the right direction.. as it seemed to him that explaining to Shuichi, that years ago, long before he had come to Vollmond, his sons (two lone pups he had taken in as his own) were taken from him due to prejudice and "pack laws” against bitten wolves (viewing them as unfit to raise pups by fellow pack members). That it had destroy him in every-way imaginable when the elders of that pack ( wolves he had once considered close friends ) stormed his home, taking his children kicking and screaming, all because someone had seen his hand…. And following these events he had sought punishment, foolishly going to places he should have known better than to turn to ending up paying a even heavier price than he could ever thought possible… it all seemed to be a bit ‘much’ to drop on the younger wolf at this point.. as Lee would have all his life to hate himself for letting his guard down, but for right now he wanted to focus on the “here and now” and other wolf that had been kind enough to want to the spend the afternoon in his company. As he moved to help the other wolf with the food he had brought with him. 

 "Ya hardcore with the snacks ain’t ya?“ Lee playfully teased, motioning for Shuichi to come on in his home as he made his way to the adjacent kitchen looking down at the wide range of items as he sat them on the table, picking out the popcorn and tossing it in the microwave, before making his way back to the omega. "Feel free to make yourself at home, kick off your shoes.” Lee said gesturing at the two dark leather la-z-boy chairs and matching sofa, as he took his own set on the couch. “First season sounds great.”

“I really like eating!” Shuichi said with a little laugh. It was the one thing that had transcended from human to wolf, the fact that a good meal could bring even the most fractured family together. It was why he’d started cooking for the entire pack house, even if he wasn’t super into all the domestic things an Omega should do. The house had gone from empty all the time to full of people all happy and enjoying themselves. It had made him the essential mascot for the police force and the small Omega finally felt like he had a real family to call his own. 

And now he had friends too. 

“Of course I would.” Vin answered with a smile, reaching across the table and taking Shuichi’s hand with a smile. “There is no food better than that which has been cooked by someone you care for.” He let go after a moment and stood. “That settles it. I just have to taste something you’ve made.” He insisted with a grin. “I’ll even take you to the store to pick out anything you need to make me your very best dish.” Vin had the basics at home, but nothing that might be required for anything considered remotely ‘fancy’. And he couldn’t have Shuichi out there cooking for others and not for him, when he had been the little Omega’s first Alpha.

Lee turned red, the over used ‘deer in headlights’ look consumed his features as Shuichi pointed out the bruised whelp next to the Omega’s light nail marks. The older wolf sighed… he hadn’t wanted him to find out this way… (as he had wanted to divorce that side of himself when he was around the other wolf.)

But now Lee was forced to face reality and make a choice… he could lie and fabricate some elaborte story as to how he got those whelps to try and swep it under the rug or he could tell Shu the truth…. and risk losing him as a friend…

The older wolf was involuntarily quiet for quite sometime the tension in the air seemed unending for him, before he finally made his decision… he really did want a friendship with Shuichi and more if the other wolf was willing and for him (at least on his side of things) that meant he needed to be able to honest the other wolf, to treat him as equal (despite their age and ‘other’ differences that the wolf world would dictate that they shouldn’t try to be…) and be able to confide in him for this to work.. and if Shuichi decided that after hearing what he had to say that having him in his life wouldn’t be in his best interest then he would except and understand that and would let him go.

“I… ah… I just wanted to feel normal for a bit… ” Lee winced as the words left his lips, the over simplification… He didn’t view himself as a masochist, as he never received any real sexual gradafction from pain just.. normalcy… preferring gentle touches above all else when it came to intimacy and sex. But sometimes…when he just couldn’t “deal” with himself anymore… he… need it…as much as it shamed and disgusted to omitt as it wasn’t something he did for a cheap thrill or view it as some exotic taboo….

“And sometimes..” Lee said looked away, loathing himself for his next words, trying his best to suppress that. “I need that to function…”

Shuichi listened carefully as the other man tried to explain the injury, his brow lowering slightly in confusion as he looked the other up and down. He wasn’t sure he understood past Lee was probably hurting himself or allowing himself to be hurt to gain some kind...of normal feeling? He stared into the older wolf’s eyes for a long moment before he leaned up on tip toes to press a soft little kiss to the angry red mark. “I won’t tell you how to find that feeling, but please don’t get hurt too bad.” 

God, but Shuichi was beautiful as he gave himself over to passion.

Owen would keep his promises, but it was oh so tempting to just give in. Humming softly as he started moving a little faster, he noticed Shuichi had gotten hard again and he was easily imagining just how good things would be once they got to that point for real.

To say Lee was nervous would be a sore understatement as the Alpha had faced a lot trials and tribulations in his life, but of all his experiences he had never been on a traditional date (as Lee was facing alot of ‘firsts’ with Shuichi… having never been intimate with an Omega before it was all he could do to create an emotional barrier as not to let that effect them)…not that watching the Walking Dead was a ‘traditional date’ but a date in which conversation might be the primary focus of the evening had him on edge. 

Lee shook his head, amused by his own short comings, as you’d never guess that he was a 53 year old wolf, the utter walking definition of jaded, however the previous day spend get his home ready and clean, and the butterflies he felt in stomach told a different story. Taking in a sharp breath as he heard a knock at the door.

Shuichi left his house a little early so he could stop by the store and pick up some salty snacks for the little zombie marathon he had going. He’d even dressed up, somewhat, he was wearing a black t-shirt with drippy red letters that read ‘This is my zombie killing shirt’. With popcorn and chips secured he made his way to Lee’s house, eyes wide and sparkling as the door was opened for him. 

“Hi Mr. Myers! Are you ready to watch the show? I figured tonight we could binge through the first season with no problem.” The Omega held out his bounty from the grocery store, beaming from ear to ear. “ I brought snacks and stuff!” He paused as he noticed what looked like a bruise or welt showing at the collar of the other man’s shirt, eyes narrowing slightly in concern. 

Drew nodded. “Hannigan, Jack, da.” And Ryan would be his mate, the one who was expecting. “They are very close? Is good.” He nodded again, and then glanced down at Shuichi, and then over his shoulder. “I walk you to class. That way, you can tell teacher you showing lost wolf where to go, da?” He had clearly been late when he’d crashed into Drew, and he didn’t want him to get in trouble with school. Education was important, it gave you opportunities you would never have otherwise. “No trouble. Lead the way.” He stepped aside, gesturing in the vague direction the other wolf had been going.

“It’s a really big class I doubt they’ll notice me missing....in fact I might make more of a fuss if I walk in late...” Shuichi laughed lightly and shook his head, but he walked toward the campus anyway, head tilted up as he watched the first few glimmers of snowfall dancing in the sky. Winter could be so beautiful, but it seemed like most of the people around here hated it...
