“So you’re sure I look okay?” You ask, heart beating uncomfortably fast in your chest.

“Yes! You look absolutely amazing, beans. Bucky’s gonna love it.” you take a deep breath then nod, rooting through your purse for your makeup bag before getting frustrated and dumping the contents of it on the counter.

“Calm down. Deep breaths with me, (Y/n). You’ll be okay. I promise.” You nod, taking a few deep breaths with her and calming down a bit. “You’re right,” you whisper, grabbing your makeup bag and your phone and heading into the bathroom to finish getting ready.

Nat talks you through some new makeup techniques from over the video call, smiling at the final product, and you can’t help but laugh.

“I’m on call tonight but if you need anything, call me and I’ll help you. No matter what.” You nod, smiling at her.

“Alright. It’s almost six, he should be here soon. I’ll call you when I get back and I’ll give you all the details.” Natasha nods and gives you a look, silently telling you that there will be consequences if you leave any details out.

“Okay, bye. Love you.”

“Love you too, beans.” You end the call and take some deep breaths, turning the cold water on and running your hands under it in an attempt at calming yourself down further.
