After 6 successful years in the funky music scene as a solo act, Quasamodo aka Dimitris Nassios along with percussionist Kostas Kopanaris decided to form a band that would rattle the cage of the tired Nu-Funk & Disco scene. Within a year they gathered up 5 of the most acclaimed musicians in Athens and set up "The Q Orchestra".

The first album produced by Dimitris as The Q Orchestra found it's way to Freestyle Records' A&R manager Adrian Gibson who described it as a "seven-man band that sound like a massive production" on the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show. The album "Journey Through Sounds" was released by Freestyle Records in 2010.

This was the plan, to break the mould of these classic 70s genres and approach them through a producers perspective. Loud, massive beats, electronic effects without disrespect to their roots. This is achieved by boasting a full brass-band with Dimitris, George and Orfeas, the amazing multi-instrumentalist Vagelis, the human rhythm machine Kostas, the unique voice of Thaliah. and the electronic beats and melodies triggered by Dimitris' soundgun!
