- him constantly receiving letters and staring emotionlessly at them before putting them in a pile that grows throughout the season. It is never explained until the SoC plotline comes to pass.

- meeting Jesper for the first time and just…very obviously staring at his lips in wonder lol

- I think the very first scene we get of him should be him watching a ship sail away after dumping off a bunch of slaves and he’s just is chilling as he watches the crew get back on to sail away and then….boom. Everyone screams and what not, but Wylan is just there like (: and in the background we see Inej watching in the shadows.

- I want his various reactions to Ketterdam. His alarm to the crime going on and maybe falling for a few small swindles that Jesper teases him about. Just. Strong hints that he shouldn’t be there.

- But also a scene where he gets pushed around and we get that Wylan brand of “don’t fuck with me”

- I want a whole subplot of his flute as a running joke

Kaz: so you play the flute

*cuts to Wylan whacking someone with the flute*

Wylan: it has many uses

- He brings Jesper his demo creations constantly. It’s a sort of “look what I made!” And then somewhere in the distance there’s an explosion or someone screaming bc acid is burning a hole through their roof.

- that being said, I want him constantly covered in ash and gunpowder.

- Jesper should only show interest in girls around him so Wylan is like constantly put out until he hears about Milo and is just like 👀 but then he gets annoyed Jesper is hung up on his ex and then he finds out Milo is a goat and this poor boy JUST WANTS TO KNOW IF HE HAS A CHANCE

- Jan and Wylan cross paths and we can very clearly see they know each other and that there is something wrong with the relationship despite the interaction being brief

- Show us Wylan drawing!!! I want to see him drawing so many beautiful things. Have him draw explosions or Jes or a map of Ketterdam he’s working on or-

- he does sweet things like gets apples for the kids down the street every day.

- WE GET KAZ AND WYLAN’S INITIAL MEETING TOO. Omg it can be so funny and a great time to show Wylan’s grit. Kaz tries to threaten him or whatever and Wylan doesn’t back down. Also, we can have-

Kaz: the things I can do to you-

Wylan: like what? LIKE WHAT?! Torture me? Kill me? Guess what buddy? I hate myself. Go ahead.

Kaz, internally: wtf, wtf, wtf

- very small references to him avoiding reading/writing like in the book. That sort of “there’s no need to label this” or “can you tell me what that says? I’m too far away” and all the creative ways he’s able to successfully navigate that.

Nina: the instructions said 4 cups of gundpowder

Wylan, internally panicking bc he put 8: the instructions are wrong and cowardly - but we should also run

- Jesper constantly being impressed by how smart he is and Wylan not noticing AT ALL

- tbh also give me a scene of Kaz playing early matchmaker

Kaz: Jesper, are you still foolishly attracted to risk and pretty things?

Jesper: Why? Yes. Where? Are you flirting with me?

Kaz: No. Unrelated, I need you to go the tannery-

I just really want Wylan to be fully delved into, okay? I love him and he’s such a good character with depth and versatility. I would even be okay with Jesper not meeting him until the end of the season so we have time just to get to know him outside of wesper too.
