Midnight only heard the fighting and made her way to see if she could help. Most hero’s hated when others help out, but — for her, she didn’t care. she was used to helping everyone and everything when it came down to it. though, the moment she saw the kid run past her, she stared and smiled a bit. though— she was going to let everything else take care of the kids – she wanted to make sure the hero — or whatever this person was, was okay.
Though, as much as she didn’t make it, she saw the aftermath and soon saw the other standing there for a moment. Moving quickly, she couldn’t help but look around at everything and soon back at the male who looked badly beaten up.
Part of her didn’t want to scare him, but she did want to call out. Moving, she placed her hand on his back and soon moved to help him back onto his feet. there was no reason for him to be out here – now was it?
“I have you. Don’t freak out — I’m a GOOD GUY! ”
she said lightly. maybe if he did freak out she would release her quirk, but she couldn’t help but inhale slightly and held him for a moment. it looked bad, but – something in her gut told her, he was going to be okay. But there was this itch that scared her for a moment. the way he looked, but — she didn’t care at this point. he was still a person who was bleeding, and tending to that first was her main part of being a hero.
“ I’m going to get you help, can you stay with me?”
His eyesight had already begun to deteriorate, along with a sense of dizziness settling in. He could barely make out what he was seeing beyond blurry shapes and lights. It was a miracle he hadn’t passed out on the spot due to blood loss, though it seemed as though he was dangerously close to reaching that point. That is, until someone made contact with his person.
His natural reaction in his current state would have been to turn and attack whoever it was that had approached him. He couldn't be certain if it was another monster out to get him, or a hero looking to take advantage of his weakened state to deal with him once and for all. And while he did turn around of his own accord, he could do very little to follow the action up. His legs buckled, causing his bloodied body to slump against the other’s frame, unfocused eyes gazing towards their face.. But nothing registered. He could barely even hear their voice. The only words that managed to make it through were ‘help’ and ‘stay with me’.
❝ Can’t.. Won’t.. Die.. ❞
Even now his body was working as quickly as it could to heal the damage done to him, but.. He’d been operating under an empty stomach for a while now. A lack of energy meant that he healed much slower than usual. A part of him was still confident he could pull through, but.. An inkling of doubt made him fearful. What if he actually did,, die..
