Puck grew up without a father figure and without any model for treating people with care or kindness; Kurt, not only dealing with his own discovery journey, but also growing up in a fractured relationship with his own father, weighed down by doubt and a crushing lack of confidence. From that shared wound of daddy issues springs the striking inversion: Puck’s total absence of gentleness and Kurt’s total absence of roughness, and both yearning for the same hunger for societal acceptance. tbh I don’t think It’s no coincidence that their most pivotal storylines almost always collide in the same episodes - two fractured boys unconsciously echoing the same ache.
