Theodore (Teddy) Lastname is an oc of mine who has a large bioengeneered teddy bear company, where he produces many stuffed animals and plushes of varying sizes and consciousness to help provide people comfort and help them with tasks around their house. He has been working on his biotech since he was a small child and in his forties has finally perfected essentially everything he'd ever want and need from his own personal plushies. There is multiple undercurrents of his business though, on the surface level he is often creating toys for regular purposes. Large teddy bears that function as security, small plush bunnies that remind you to take your meds. A plush dog that helps you brush your teeth, a large turtle that functions as a car. Etc etc etc, all with varying levels of "personhood" depending on their use. Some are just made to be companions. Some are made for more intimate reasons. Teddy also runs an "adult" portion of his business that creates eccentric and often elaborate sex toys.
Teddy wanted every function of his life to be done by his plushies and once he hit a certain age he also realized he would rather them over a sexual partner, and once he created the perfect toy for himself he then switched to engineering mass producible toy to sell as an adult branch of his production company. He's figured out a lot of different things, dabbled in mind control and DNA shifting. He can produce toys that change you physically or mentally or both, or just toys that function as regular sex toys. Vibrators, or conscious living teddies who will pin you down.
Teddy also runs a company that is not under his legal name and goes by a completely different brand name, that sells the "defective" or less efficient teddy bears for a lower price, to get rid of waste.
Teddy frequently works with doctors and therapists as well for patients who need more TLC or compassionate care, Teddy himself is a disabled man and many of his toys were made to help him with his disabilities and needs in multifaceted ways and if his toys are too expensive for someone to afford they can often go through their doctor or therapist to get it on a sliding fee scale or have the price waived entirely. Though they often don't get full pick over which toys they get, since it'd be instructed by their doctor.
