Thanks to you brave ruffians, we’ve learned much about Zood for the history books (even collecting a sketch of the elusive Nocturnal Zebra and a sample of Amentha Magna!) 🎈

The results of your avid adventuring has borne (spiced, dried) fruit and of course, the crew of the Zephyr is happy to share!

A written summary is below the cut.

Cloudward Ho! Thank you so much for participating in our initial interest check. We are so flattered to receive 62 responses from you sky-eyed adventurers. 

Unfortunately, we did not meet our needed quota for the initial specs to produce a physical zine. Therefore, we have tentatively posed some new directions this project can take: 

Operation Legio Rex: Pay to Produce

A “pay to produce” model is one where all contributors will receive a free digital copy of the zine. However, if a contributor would like a physical copy, they would pay for the bundle at cost price plus shipping. This way ensures that we are able to keep production costs low even with a smaller buying pool.

This is the only way forward to produce a physical zine. Given the amount of interest checks we received, we simply do not have the buying power to produce a physical zine another way.

Additionally, this method would require a production moderator. In the scenario where we do not acquire a production moderator, we will be moving to Operations Nut Pugs and Amentha Magna.

Operation Nut Pugs: Digital Charity Zine

This is the “middle ground” between Operations Legio Rex and Amentha Magna. A full digital zine with digital merchandise will be produced with any funds going towards our charity of choice. This would fulfill our zine’s initial goal of being a charitable project.  

Operation Amentha Magna: Free Digital Release

This option is the most accessible to fans and creators alike. Losing both the physical and charitable aspects of this zine would be tough, however, we recognize that this would allow the most people to enjoy the final project.
