yeah, really. and if you’re gonna make any then it should be for yourself not just ‘cause people want you to, ya know. i feel you on that. i can tell, a little evolvement and growth is good. and it looks good on you too babe. last year was pretty good, and hopefully this one will be even better. yep that sounds about right.

“they’re going to regret this decision, i’m telling you now. i wrote all the hit songs, i was the hot one in the band and i was the one with the artistic vision. but fuck it and fuck ‘em. my solo shit is going to blow them out the water!” xavian caught the other’s gaze and shrugged. “want a cig?”

“What a backup career, man. I think you’ve really got something going here. I mean, if the whole singing thing crumbles, you can just serenade me while I cook and I’ll pay you triple what you make,” Azelin laughed. “That’s a lie, I don’t even make triple what you make. I probably don’t even make as much as you.”

“i’m just doing what i’m good at !! it’s my calling, really.” lennox smiled at the blonde, letting out a small laugh at her words. “you can cook for me, we can serenade each other, and i can just pay you triple what you make. it’ll all work out great, really.”

“surprise! i’m still alive after partying a little too hard at new years.” delilah laughed, “everything after 9:30pm on new years eve is a total blur like did i kiss my boyfriend at midnight? i don’t know. did i make a fool out of myself? oh 100%. anyway, how was your new years?”

“That’s the best advice, hands down, and I absolutely agree. It just seems like so much fun and then I’d kind of know what I’m doing in the kitchen, which would be awesome. Can I have you as my hype woman through it all? Is that an option?”

“of course !! hype woman lennox de luca, here at your service for all of your kitchen enthusiasm needs. that’s my backup career, if all this singing junk decides to go down the drain. ”

“No, but that’s exactly what I’m saying, Len! This is not cold. This is like… shit, I don’t know. Like brisk, maybe?”

“Or maybe you have more body fat & muscle to keep you warm as opposed to lil’ ol’ me. I say it’s jacket time, screw what you think.”

“ this sounds really sad, but i kinda feel like their nagging can be on a momager level. it’s just inescapable. and yeah, lilah would definitely say yes; it’s a good venture. maybe you can fit me into your schedule sometime, yeah ??”

“ we already know i just love when people get to the momager level, it makes me want to rip my hair out. i’d fit you into my schedule plenty... if all of our plans went through as discussed, we’d see each other all the time. but you know, as always, work happens. ”

Brittany’s cheeks were just as flushed and red as the stain covering her white v-neck shirt. She had tried to cover it up with a distressed jean jacket but it was too big to hide. “P-please, don’t..” She insisted as she looked over to see them staring at her. “I got a little carried away at girls night and all of a sudden I just had my cabernet all over me.” She whimpered, motioning towards her chest before crossing her arms. A nervous laugh escaped her lips as she pulled her hair over the stain.

“All I’m saying is we live in fucking California. Do you really think it’s going to be that cold? I was just in Maine. There is actual snow in Maine right now. Do you see snow here? I just see sand.”

“Have you not heard of a little thing call air-conditioning, Jace ? Honestly, my house stays cold, and I stay in jackets while I’m home if I’m not in long sleeves. Don’t judge, man.”

“Ow… ow…” Cassia stepped onto the sidewalk, rubbing her neck as she looked for a good coffee spot. “For the love of God, I do not recommend sleeping on a cement floor. You are so welcome for that advice.”

“Oh, honey...” Lennox’s voice rang towards the brunette, reaching a hand out to touch the girl’s shoulder. “What in the world were you doing sleeping on cement in the first place ?? ”

“Is it too late in life to become a professional chef? Like, screw dancing and acting, man. I always find myself watching these damn cooking and baking shows late at night and every time I see them, I think ‘Wow, I wish I could make something that good without a recipe.’ Every time I try to make anything without looking at a recipe, it turns out looking like a fucking joke. How long does culinary school take? A year, two years? I feel like I could manage that.”

“  here’s something i’ve learned, honey. it’s never too late to become anything !! hire yourself a teacher and get to cooking. screw culinary school, as long as you learn how to cook that shit right, you’ll be set. ”
