Victor Creed/Sabretooth comfort Headcanons!

I don’t think that Victor Creed is the best at emotions so if you’re upset by things that weren’t caused by him, he probably does one of two things. The most likely is he’ll get very awkward, yet protective. He wants to help, he does.

But again he isn’t the best with the “Feelings bullshit” so if you typically want to be left alone - he will.

He will absolute give you the space you need to get through whatever you’re going through. That he can do.

Which is much easier for him, especially because he can just leave a water bottle or whatever you have that can hydrate you by your door

He doesn’t know how to cook for a god damn so he can’t make you anything. But he can order takeout.

Whatever your favorite is he’ll get it for you and if you’re still not up for being up,… He’ll bring it to you.

You’ll hear his heavy footsteps grow closer with his grumbling following through. He will come in without knocking - he won’t do it. He firmly believes he doesn’t have to ask to have access to his partner

He’ll act a bit grumpy about it, but he’s just fussing over you because he’s worried.

If he can help it these fits don’t happen often with his partner. He always tries to see to it you are satisfied and content (It actually brings him great pride to know his partner is happy with him I think he gloats abt it)

Which is why he gets so uncomfortable when you’re upset! Especially when you’re upset enough to not get up for food (food for him is a big deal! If his partner won’t get up for something that’s necessary for their survival, his gut instinct is to fuss about you and make sure his partner doesn’t starve themselves)

You have to eat sometime,…

After he knows you’ve eaten (he will force you to get up to eat, “You can be upset and eat at the same damn time. Now eat.”)

if you still want to be alone - he will be reluctant.

Most of the time he will outright refuse - instead choosing to drape himself over you and hold you. He won’t say anything other than the refusal to leave, because there’s no words he can give you that will bring comfort really.

But if he really likes you, you may hear him purr. It’s a little alarming at first, it’s pretty loud and strong enough to make you feel like you’re shaking but we’ll get to that later.

He’s a killer. Not someone who typically is soft like when he is with you, so he’s not well equipped in comforting people.

But he can hold you. He can provide the security he will always be there in presence.

He will never be good at ‘I Love You’s

But he is great at showing that he’ll always be loyal to you (so long as you are likewise)

If you need immediate comfort and something like a hug and words of comfort? He will be very awkward. He doesn’t have any ability to comfort you verbally. But he’ll try.

He will absolutely hold you

He can do that, as mentioned before. For him acts of service are much easier. Or compliments to you (when he’s not in a mood to pick on you, the ranging of compliments can be kind of nice in the way you see he’s trying, they’re very unusual).

But words of comfort? Yikes.

He wants to comfort you, he really does. But like I said before he’s a killer before anything else.

The best you’ll get is him offering to kill/destroy whatever made you cry. Maybe crack a sick or demented joke about it.

But if you are inconsolable?

It makes him incredibly uncomfortable - not because you’re upset, but because he can’t say anything really to console you.

He’s used to cruelty. That’s his specialty. It was his birthright, in a cruel way. What with his origins. So he doesn’t know the ways to comfort people. He’s a very insane and dangerous man - he kills things for fun, after all. But he’s not uncaring, in his own way.

So he gets really awkward when you need comfort like this. He isn’t used to being tender. So for him tender and kindness looks a bit different.

Tenderness to him, or the best way he can show it at least, is to hold you close and try to distract you the best he can. By making you do things he might do when he’s upset.

It’s a lot easier to console you in times like this whether frequent or not, when he pictures himself needing comfort, and thinks about what you do for him. He’ll often refer to those things and then repeat them to you when you need comfort from him. It’s the best he can really do.

So he may force you to shower with him and he may wash your hair. Usually it’s the opposite. Usually it’s you playing with his hair most of the time, or forcing him to shower (he likes how he smells).

He may also distract you by being a bit more physically affectionate. Not in a sexual way. Usually he’s all for that - but if he really cares for you? He rubs your back while holding you. Things if that nature.

Nothing too affectionate mind you. But enough to remind you he’s there for you. For example, he may put his face in your hair while he’s holding you to remind you how much he likes certain things about you (he’s big on complimenting the way you look or the way you do things - it’s much easier than saying ‘I Love You’)

So it’s a big thing for him to put you before him.

He may just take you upstairs and completely say fuck it all and go straight to a cat nap

For him that’s usually what he does when he’s real irritated - so he’ll likely smother you with his body and lay with you in bed until you feel better.

if he’s really feeling romantic(“Weak for you” as he says) he may even kiss you. Then proceed to purr, like mentioned before, when he presses his face back into your hair.

It’s a huge show of affection for him, a huge display of vulnerability. So it’s absolutely monumental if he trust you this much. It’s his ultimate ‘I Love You’ without saying it

so if you get either of those two things out of him it’s a huge status symbol of your relationship.

He will purr for you in the previous scenario as well as seen, but for him to show vulnerability is to show weakness. So for him to trust you that much? Especially if he kisses you (which is truly a very rare event), it’s a reminder of how his loyalty lies to you, forever.

It will absolutely shake you. You will feel your bones vibrate.

It’s oddly,… soothing.

Usually a cat nap fixes things for him. Then he’ll revert back to acts of service like the previous scenario

Hydrate, feed you etc.

Like I said he’s incredibly loyal but he has fuck all ability to comfort you with words

But that’s okay because he shows you in other ways that he loves you!

(but prepared, later he’ll tease you for falling asleep to his purr, with love ofc)
