i read sommody write some comment about how autobiographical writing is literature’s equivalent of reality tv and i just want to say who the fuck has the tried and true authority to write about anything other than themselves, i rather read someone’s self reflections, delusional or not, than read them write about something they really think they have a grasp on because of whatever bullshit institutional criteria they have gathered (sciences aren’t even exempt from this) individual construct - manageable, social construct - anxiety inducing
my new angel number is 333
also it’s about to be colada morada season
still actively thinking about my ecuador move but now i am thinking too much about it to the point that i am having thoughts like “i won’t be able to get vegan donuts from cinnamon snail” (a lot is veganism related) but then i also have to think like once i move i will have actual real life organic chirimoyas every day when in season.. same thing for spaces like “won’t be able to go to greenpoint ferry dock at night and be engulfed in the darkness of the water and the distant city lights” but… will be able to walk the length of the river and examine the night activity of street food vendors and the students congregating around them… ultimately i have to keep thinking openly about it… also will hAve access to Colada Morada
i... live in ecuador now, for those of you who don’t know I moved here last October when me and D broke up... it’s been beautiful, I am depressed right now but it has been nothing short of wonderful and I am so grateful, it’s funny how I control the universe with my mind , ha ha hahah

“A relationship is not something to keep, it’s to be enjoyed out of your freshness and in your strength, you find that everything becomes more pure. Everything wants to be with you when you’re empty of intention. Too much intention creates tension. […] in your natural state of being you don’t need to be approved of.”
– Mooji, No Need to Be Loved

Making spoons teaches one to listen. To listen with the eyes, to listen with the fingertips, to let the wood tell one what to do. Each time a point comes in the carving when I think, impossible, I do not have the skill to make this work. I tell myself to keep going, stay patient, and trust the wood will start speaking, start telling me what I need to know. It’s a funny act of trust—listening to the wood, respecting what it says, responding to what it’s saying, and trusting that you’re hearing it in the right spirit, with the right skill. One listens and responds with intuition (that blood-muscled-feathered voice in the viscera), and patience, and honesty. It is a full body process, this listening, this giving of attention.
