Chocolate colored hues watched the television across from the Geek Squad station, eyes trained with interest, as something quite interesting was happening in Chaos City– according to the news, anyway. Though was it really surprising was the question– you kind of ask for horrific things to happen with a name like that. Best Buy wasn’t very busy– at least, not where she was situated; on top of the counter, legs crossed as she read the subtitles.

Her bomber jacket in her hands, Harleen hastily walked towards the corner of the store she knew so well. A cheeky smile tugged at the corner of her plush lips as Daisy came into view. “Hey’a!” she exclaimed, maybe a little too loud as she approached the brunette. “What are ‘ya doing?” she first inquired, internally wishing she was going to tell her that she wasn’t that busy. The blonde had something for her.

Wow, all these complements today. I feel utterly flattered.

“I’ll agree on the first part, but we’ll better stop right there. No killing, sorry, Harls.”

Not going to lie, if there was a purge day, I would kill my boss in a heartbeat.

“Was that a High School Musical reference,” he jokes, “because that was after my time. You know, my time being not blind.” yikes, matt. we all know you listen to the soundtrack. her hand on top of his is a surprise, but he attempts to go with the flow, wiggling his fingers gently beneath her palm. “Pre-blindness, I, uh - I learned sign language. The alphabet, at least. In school. It’s nice to be able to feel the letters, so I never really forgot.” he gives the four fingers another soft shake and adds, “B.”

“Was it?” she repeated in a teasing tone, a smile playing on her lips yet again. “Your ears are perfectly fine though. I bet you know the lyrics,” she challenged. Her clear hues looked up at him, slightly amused by his reaction when her hand touched his. “My God, you’re so fucking cute,” she boldly admitted. Every little detail about men that would usually push girls away, always made Harleen so interested.

“Ah ha, so now we both know something about each other.” he chuckles, shoving a hand in one pocket. “I will, then, if only because you’ve given me your secret,” he teases. “And boy scout’s honor, I promise I won’t tell.” matt holds up four fingers in a sign language b ( he still can’t forget the letters of the sign language alphabet from when he learned them in school ) and offers up a grin.

“This is the start of something new,” Harleen admitted, her tone almost ironic. Her clear hues looked down to his fingers as she approached the man.” What does that mean?” she inquired, her hand covering his.

okay, so maybe a little bit of color floods to his cheeks at the woman’s words. IF it does ( and it definitely does ), he’s none the wiser. or at least, that’s what he’ll insist if anyone ever asks. “You know, it’s rude to lie to the blind to make us feel better,” he jokes back. 

“I’m going to tell you a secret,” Harleen first started, a playful smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “When I lie, it’s usually because I want something. I’m not the type of person who cares about people’s feelings, so believe me when I say you look good.”

“I think I’m gonna read that as a compliment, thanks.” he chuckles, tilting his head as if he actually can look at her. “I’m sure you’re very attractive,” he adds, “and if I could see, I’m sure my eyes would agree.”

“It was,” she nodded. Somehow, she felt intrigued by the young man, especially now that she had found out he was blind. “You can’t see but I’m totally blushing,” she joked.

Nor do you, but I’m not running around pointing the obvious out, now am I?

“so what is it you american’s do for fun? i saw a lot of drama and gossip when i watched your television shows, i hope for your sake it isn’t like that because my emotions usually get projected into violence.”

“I have to be honest, I don’t know what you’re what the hell-ing at. If you’re wondering why I’m spilling my life story, I don’t know, couldn’t tell you. If you’re asking why I haven’t watched the movie, it’s because I’m blind. I don’t know what you mean, though?”
