but basically there was very little set-up. i made the community and proceeded to be very annoying about it on my personal blog. prompts started coming, then fills, then comments... and that's all there was to it! that's every component of a healthy kink meme ecosystem imo

and all those components are integral to the community's survival. that's one thing i always kept at the forefront of my mind when getting the dkb off the ground. prompters, fillers, and commenters are all vital to keeping a kink meme alive. quantity isn't the most important thing, so i definitely wouldn't worry about number of posters at first (or ever), but that cycle has to get cycling

prompters might lose interest in prompting if none of their prompts are ever filled, fillers might lose interest in filling if none of their fills ever receive a response, and readers/commenters might forget about the comm if there's never anything new to read
