What can I say? When I saw your prompt it spoke to me, though (and I apologise for this) I strayed pretty far from the end portion. I am sorry that there isn't more smut and sexual navigation here, but I hope that what I've come up with is still true to the spirit of the prompt. I confess, I had never considered writing about Marietta Edgecombe. What's more, I didn't know if I could make myself care about her. I feel confident I never would have written about her at all without your prompt. But reading it, as a person with chronic pain caused by endo... well, I could not pass up the chance to explore the ways that our bodies themselves affect our desires and the very ways we move through the world. In order to do it that, though, I had to give Marietta a story that made me care about her, and that became the core of this story, rather than boudoir negotiation. It was a hell of a challenge, and an incredibly rewarding one at that. Thank you for giving me that chance!

Artistâs Notes:Â In this comic, I wanted to show somebody struggling with his limit and fears after a bad experience. Â I wanted to show two lovers trying to overcome their issues (hurting the other/allowing themselves to being vulnerable). I wanted to show a character who wants to overcome his issues not to satisfy his partner, but for himslelf, to be able to have a safer, sainer, relashionship. I wanted the other to value his feelings, to really listen even he doesn't get all of it. Â Giving consent, when you struggle with internalized homophobia is hard. Eluding problems doesn't make them go away even if you want them gone. Allowing oneself to own one's desire may take time, talks, mistakes... and opening to others. When one finally overcomes what's holding them back it can be the most delicious treat.

Summary: Harry starts to notice some worrying signs in his relationship with Draco. He flinches when Harry moves too quickly, he thinks everything is going to be blamed on him, and he doesn't think his own desires count. Harry, fresh from dealing with his own childhood PTSD, jumps to some conclusions. Some of them are right, some of them are way off.

Authorâs Notes: I ended up trying to approach consent in a LOT of different ways in this fic, so hopefully it doesn't feel too scraped thin! Of course there's the way that Draco doesn't really appreciate that his own consent matters in sex at first - he assumes that if his partner wants it, he's just got to put up and provide, no matter what. This is really difficult for Harry to notice, but when he realises he hasn't been getting full consent from Draco, he's horrified. The fic also discusses consent in terms of information sharing - Harry goes to Pansy for information which he thinks is a kind thing, he's just trying to make sure he doesn't trigger Draco. But he's doing so without Draco's consent, and that's potentially a terrible betrayal of trust. Finally there are smaller bits of consent here - asking how you can help another person rather than assuming you know what's best, consent at every stage during sex, and asking consent to hug someone, for example.

Summary:Â Do the clothes make the man?Ron Weasley thinks he has no chance, until one night when he dresses up and Blaise Zabini canât take his eyes off him. The solution is easy, then, right? Ron just has to keep dressing up, and Blaise will keep wanting him. But every time Ron puts the new clothes on, heâs sent spiraling off into a past filled with insecurity. Will he really be able to keep this up without going completely bonkers? And what does Blaise actually want from him, anyway?

Authorâs Notes:Â I chose this prompt with this pairing because it struck me as funny. To begin with, I didn't know how I was going to address the issue of consent. But as I continued to develop the story I found that there were so many ways in which consent could come up. For example, I've read so many stories where one character basically forces another character to do something, whether it's getting a haircut, putting on make-up, wearing different clothes, etc., and they do it with the best of intentions, "for your own good." I don't think I've ever seen that act called into question in view of lack of consent, yet suddenly, as I developed the scene, it became so obvious: no matter how good your intentions, you do not have the right to force someone else to something they don't want to do with their own body. So as I wrote my story, when I came up against an issue and suddenly saw a way for consent to be involved, I tried to make sure there was at least a subtle acknowledgment of it. Â
