Right before the end credits of Top Gun we see two planes flying side by side and I like to think that Ice and Mav are piloting those planes ANYWAYS happy Pride Month to the gayest movie out there

At the end of Top Gun, Mav said he would stay as an instructor, but now we know from TGM that he only held the instructor position for two months, then he went out to frontline. I remember there were a lot of military acitivities in the Persian Gulf back in late 80′s and early 90′s (certainly from these operations Ice accumulated enough recognitions that sent him onto his path promotions), and I think Mav went back to frontline to be Ice’s wingman, because in that time of turmoil Ice was in real danger, and as Mav had stated so well, “I can’t leave Ice, I’m not leaving my wingman.”
