Basically I find it funny that the brothers switched personality as they grew xD

Also a hc of mine is that Kaeya actually start to not blame his younger self anymore and view that part of him foundly, while his younger self kinda fears(and hate) him since he doesn't know what his future self do(with the whole spy thing) and plus seeing his future older brother look tired with a scar on his face than the hyperactive one you're used to, scares him even more.

while Diluc mostly feel a bit bittersweet looking at his younger self being all whimsey, while kid Diluc just really say whatever is on his mind, which is kinda true,

my hc is that pyro vision do protect them from fire to a certain degree, but they run warmer than normal too, so in winter they can wear whatever and can still be warm enough, while in summer they overheat easily, same concept for cryo.

Kid Diluc while being a bit blunt just want to warn his stupid older self to not die of a heatstroke. since having Kaeya as his younger brother he start being more caring toward others well being.

Or when people rec songs/shows/fics and you suddenly know everything you need to know about who they are as a person?

And that's why he got home and demanded Kaeya to tell him about his history, to which Kaeya responds the way he does in his character story 4.

Kaeya's ability to twist his words ironically came from the fact that he always had difficulty verbalizing how he truly feels and had been taught to appease rather than to express.

For a few months of his first arrival, Kaeya refused to speak. It was to the point where Crepus made all of them (his kids, his staff, himself) take sign language class because he figured Kaeya was mute. Until Kaeya randomly speaks one day because he finally felt like he didn't need to walk on eggshells all the time so he's pushing his boundaries.

But even a few years after that, Kaeya tended to use sign language whenever he finds himself a little overwhelmed to form a full conversation.

He improved immensely in his teens. Since he never had any problems with accidentally blurting out words, he was always considered charming and polite since every sentence he speaks is well crafted and thought out.

On a funnier note, Jean and Diluc would often see him subtly sign "GET ME OUT OF HERE" from across the ballroom as he smiles politely at a nobleman that's trying to converse with him.
