My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.
Shoutout to people in the notes also mentioning people learning the language, I should've mentioned that really, given that I've been stuck reading German picture books myself while learning German.

👑🦋💜 I had the honor of appearing in the “Midsummer Super Sentai Legends 6 NIGHT’s!” King-Ohger NIGHT event, held as part of the All Super Sentai Exhibition currently taking place at Hirakata Park in Osaka! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the venue! 🙇🏻♀️✨️ It was truly wonderful to be able to participate in an event as King-Ohger again after such a long time!! ✨️ It made me realize once again just how precious it is to have been part of a series that’s still loved by everyone like this, even after the show has ended. And the exhibition at the Osaka venue was absolutely breathtaking 🥹 It’s packed with rare items you can only see here, so please be sure to stop by!! This area is normally off-limits for photography, but I received special permission this time, so I’m sharing these photos 😭✨️ There are also areas where photography is allowed, so be sure to check them out📸 See you later! 👑🦋💜 It’s been a while since I’ve seen Kuwagata Ohger & Moffun with Morfonia-chan (Kasumin). I groomed Moffun’s fur with Rita and Morfonia, and it brought back so many memories. 🤣 The MCs for this event were Hiroya Matsumoto, along with Gira (Taisei), Morfonia (Kasumin), and Grody (Amano-san)! And we had a surprise guest: Mama Iroki (Hinagata-san) 🥹
