June 4th Playlist
We kick off another spotlight of Black Music Month here on Howling at the Moon with an all too short feature of one the giants of jazz, Sonny Rollins, whom we recently lost sadly. These tracks are all pulled from some of his Blue Note recordings from the late 1950's, where he was first featured as a leader of the groups, which included Donald Byrd, Art Blakey, Thelonious Monk, Max Roach and Horace Silver.
