How adding more can change fate...

After a “nice” conversation with Nikei Yomiuri, Lyra Shatel is on her way walking “home” wherever that may be for tonight.

As she walks through the streets she decides to take a little detour, walking along a river.

She looks into the water with a soft sigh, then she feels a drop of rain hit her cheek.

Lyra: Ah shit, really now? Rain?

Lyra snuffs out her cigarette on the ground and runs under a nearby stone bridge, it has one of those little rooms under it, she never really knew what they were for. Aside from being perfect for homeless people to get drugs or stabbed to death.

Lyra sighs looking out at the rainfall, all things considered this is a very nice moment. It may sound strange, but the rainfall, the nice sound of the rain hitting the river, the calming ripples the raindrops make in the water. It’s all very serene.

Suddenly something makes Lyra’s nose perk up. She sniffs the air and is immediately confused.

Lyra: Is that….marshmallow?

Suddenly the box she’s sitting next to shakes violently!!

Lyra: HOLY SHIT?!?!

Lyra jumps up and kicks the box as hard as she can knocking it over in the process.

Yurei: O-ow….

Lyra: What the fuck? Who’re you?? And what’re you doing in a box under a bridge??? And…why do you smell like marshmallows??

Yurei: Y-Yurei. Yamishi. I live here, I do my job in that box, a-and I eat marshmallows….frequently.

Lyra: Ohhh, uh…shit. Sorry dude, didn’t mean to kick you that hard. You just scared the hell out of me.

Yurei: N-no it’s okay, it didn’t hurt. Plus it kind of makes sense, I didn’t mean to shake that much, but the sound of the rain woke me up. I-I’m a light sleeper.

Lyra: Oh I hear that, gotta be if you’re sleeping outside. Never know when a bear or a particularly rude homeless dude is gonna try and rip you open.

Lyra: Name’s Lyra, Lyra Shatel. Guess we’re roomies for a few hours dude~! Let’s try not to tear each other up yeah~?

In a matter of purely coincidental timing Iroha also walks out of the arcade with a comically large teddy bear plushie.

Iroha: OMG LOOK AT WHAT I WON NIKEI!!! Can we keep him?

Nikei: Y-yeah sure uh, whatever. Let’s head back before it gets too late so we can celebrate Emma’s birthday.

Emma: Hmm? Oh I hadn’t even noticed it was my birthday today,

Emma: truthfully I’m just happy to spend time with friends, I don’t believe there’s anything aside from that, that I’m truly wanting.

Emma: Speaking of, I do hope Iroha and Nikei didn’t get into any trouble they have been gone for quite sometime….

Wrote a little fanfic for the first time ever!!

Nikei had a free day for once after beginning his time at Hope’s Peak. He *WAS* planning on spending it writing, but instead Iroha begged him to take her to the arcade.

And by begged I of course mean she asked Emma and Emma told Nikei to take her cause she had some work to do.

And of course Nikei can’t say no to Em. Which has lead to the duo heading to the arcade!!

Nikei: Don’t you have all these games at home…..?

Iroha: NO!! Shows how much YOUUUU know about video games.

Nikei: Yeah I spend my time on actually important things, like work.

Iroha: Since when is staring at guys and girls all day on your computer, “work”?

Nikei: Th-that is LITERALLY not at all what I do????

As the two banter (just like old times) they arrive at the arcade, a sickly sweet smell wafts from inside.

Nikei: Yeahhh uh you have fun, I cannot stand the smell of that place.

Iroha: Okay!!! See you in a bit byeeeeeeee

Iroha runs into the arcade, ready to waste every cent of money she’s made in the past few months. Strange girl.

Nikei sighs and walks around to see if he can find anything to do, as he does he notices someone. Someone…..familiar?

Nikei stared at the girl, her name was escaping him, but he swears he saw her at Hope’s peak.

Well nothing better to do, why not go say hi.

Nikei: Those things will kill you y’know?

???: So will asking every girl you meet their cup size, but hey what do I know?

Nikei: WHAGFHWHXHE I DO NOT DO THAT????

Makes me so excited to start musing the characters here….
