Daily Poem #14 -- Battle in the Sky
Sky-mountains pile in piles,
Wide-rounded frothing mounds,
Soundless continent-collisions,
A slow and churning groundless vision.
See: the thunderclap, or cannon’s roar,
The streaming troops arrayed at war,
The heavens rushing on the earth,
All tilting, skewing, into the surf.
The wave recedes across the coast;
A shining film dissolves like frost.
