Oh, I make sure he eats properly, but sometimes he doesn't really feel like eating. Poor thing! I had him sent to a psychiatrist and put him on some medication and that worked for a short time. I guess he's stopped taking them since... [She frowns slightly.]
Every time I ask him what's wrong, he doesn't really answer me. He spends just about every single day and night upstairs, but sometimes his friends like to come over and keep him company. I'm thankful for that, at least.
[She perks up again, and smiles at the detective.] Oh, I'm so sorry for burdening you with my troubles. I'll make a fresh pot of coffee right away!
[Looker pulls out a notepad from his pocket and notes down the details. The writing scribbles about rather messily on the paper, the chances of anyone besides himself reading it and understanding it, proving very slim.]

[ He raises his head proudly, flicking an ear. He couldnāt help but be proud when people commented on his ability ] It took a long time to learn, too! [ His ears perk up at the offer of food - maybe it wouldnāt be so difficult to keep being nice to this woman, after all ] Yep! Iād like some food!

Although her eyes shot open with the door swinging at her Juniper continued to wear her grin, a bit nervous herself with the uneasy nature Nadine was emitting. The professor shuffled into the house and shook off some of the outdoor heat, ruffling her coat while turning to face her host.
āThank you for letting me visit, Nadine! You have no idea how nice it is to have a break from the labā¦ā she stretched her arms and eased onto an arm of the couch, analyzing the rest of the room as she did so. āā¦and a break from traveling! Iāve been so busy with it lately.ā
Letting out a sigh before continuing, she eagerly questioned Nadine, āBut how have you been doing, dear? I havenāt heard much from you guys since Iāve been gone!ā
"Oh, not at all!" She hastily put the broom in the closet below the stairs while straightening her apron. God knows how much of a wreck she must have looked. Lately, Nadine had kept herself up at night to make sure a certain good-for-nothing didn't try to crawl in through the window. She tied her long hair into a bun to keep it from looking like a complete mess in front of the professor.
"I'm sure you have so much to tell me from your latest travels!" She ushered Aurea into the kitchen, a bit excited about the possible stories she had to tell. Nadine did not get to travel very often, barely anywhere beyond Striaton City. She had counted on Touya to tell her interesting stories about his travels, but he didn't seem to be much for talking these days.
"I have been doing...well." Nadine answered, reaching out for a coffee mug from the cabinet. "Touya has been staying at home an awful lot these days, and it's quite concerning. But Cheren is usually here, so I'm not too worried about him being alone." Pouring a pot of coffee into a mug, she held it out to the Professor before sitting down at the small table in the kitchen. "Coffee, Professor?"
