JINTA’S VALENTINE’S APPLICATION.
your name: Hanakari Jinta
Romantic or platonic?: Romantic
A night in or dinner out or an activity?: Wanna catch a baseball game or a concert?
Ice cream or chocolate covered strawberries?: Like they don’t go together? Literally that’s just ice cream with topping…
What’s your perfect date?: Anything that makes you smile
Would you cook for me?: I mean, I could try?
Would you let me cook for you?: I mean… you could try?
Can we make-out?: It’s not like I’d say no…
Make out in private or in public?: Wow. Yes?
Do you like to cuddle?: Last I checked…
Blankets or no blankets for cuddling?: Seriously, people are picky about this?
Couch or bed?: Again…
What are at least 3 hobbies of yours?: Baseball, synth music, and making coffee
Tell me something about you no else knows: I’ve grown up. Should be obvious, but… sometimes you gotta remind people.
Why do you want to be my valentine?: Okay, hear me out. You’re what… five, six years older than me? Not like it matters anymore. I figure the strawberry had his shot and he blew it. If you’re still available after all this time, either you’re crazy picky or everyone else is clueless. Just figured I may as well go for it. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, you know?
What makes you a good Valentine?: Hell, I don’t know. Isn’t that something for you to decide?
Valentine’s Application | Accepting!
It was good to see someone she’d more or less known as a little kid having grown up so much. Well, not that there had been an obtuse gap as it were, it was almost insane to think that she’d just been Fifteen when she and her friends had first ran off to the land of the dead. It all seemed so ridiculous looking back. But this was something much more grounded, and easier to digest. The simple passage of time, and the shift of Jinta from a spunky little guy to a young man.
Should she be...bothered? Some small part of her wondered if she should feel.....bad? Old? The words on the application. ‘If you’re still available after all this time’. Just how much time had she spent trying to put herself back together?
She felt so silly, falling in love so young, and then taking ages to fall out of it. So long, in fact, that she was here.
But she didn’t feel bad.
She was happy. Because little Jinta really had grown up. Through the somewhat sheepish tone, the young man had managed to convey something rather important. That he was worried about her. Wanting her to smile. And rather than trying to prop himself up, he was appealing to her own needs. Urahara really had raised a lovely young man.
‘Hanakari Jinta, your application has been accepted! I’d love to go to a concert. I don’t really like watching baseball, but I love playing, so we should have a game sometime. I’ll teach you how to play Soccar Ball.’
