15. Horned Serpent spending hours hunched over a drawing, piles of references spread around them on the floor. They completely tune out their surroundings and get as lost as they do in a book, a picture dancing in their head. They finally finish and stretch their aching neck and back and look up with strained eyes to see that yet again they are the last one in the common room. They aren't even tired as they sigh and look down at their drawing, already seeing their mistakes but it will have to wait.... submitted by @hermionetolkien

14. Horned serpent students have since the beginning of ilvermorny been in a pretend fight with Wampus students. They give each other grinning/sly looks in the halls, challenge each other to pretend duels which end up being hilarious, and use Shakespeare to insult each other. Horned serpents who hate taking tests because their minds are bustling with things that actually interest them, and-when asked to study- they simply refuse because they'd much rather be sipping tea, under a blanket and reading a good book. 12. If Horned Serpent no longer wants to have a book just for themselves, they bring it to their common room and spell a small house crest on it; this way the others know they don’t need to find its owner because they’re willing to share it with them.

06. Horned Serpents are always cold- at least in the common room. Their common room is the second coldest in the entire school next to the History of Magic classroom. It’s not so bad in the warmer seasons but during the Winter and late Fall, you’ll often see the students bundled up by the fire reading, chatting with friends, or doing school work.
