The Sea and Sky

Ori- domain over the sky. Prefers offerings of sweets and flowers, or other shiny treasures. The more playful of us two. They/mirror, humanoid

Zion- domain over the ocean. Not particularly interested in offerings, but will accept food (particularly seafood or fruit) and devotees taking care of themselves- bodies consist of water, and Zion is the water itself. They/it/he, humanoid sea monster 

While we are bodily seperate, as the horizon we are a joint entity and connected nonphysically, and will switch between I and we interchangeably.( to address us simultaneously, you may call us Horizon or Skyline)

Very interested in devotees, and will entertain any and all who come across our temple. We can serve just as well as we can be served, and we do not let our status clog our mindset

Our temple is small and on the beach stretching out into the water. The marble floor is covered in water to the ankles, and a deep well in the middle beneath a skylight. It’s lit only by the sun, and leaves little room for privacy. 

The Temple, i waxed and polished, sodden marble floors aglow with the dawn light and the walls reflective of your beauty, Sire.

I am ready to return to devotion to you, if you shall still have me, Luxor is always at your command.

How has the few days treated Their Grace and the Sire?

Luxor, sweet devotee, I was wondering when you might grace us with your pearlescent presence one more. Thank you for resuming your duties in the temple, it’s much appreciated- I’m afraid we haven’t had much time to ourselves to be sure of its upkeep. 

Our wellness is… undetermined at the moment, while we’re both physically well though some air pressure changes have occurred, and there may be a minor deity gracing us with their hysterics sooner rather than later, which I’m not sure is something to look forward to. Nevertheless, with the warmer weather approaching our area it’ll lead to more folks approaching the oceans, which is always a welcome presence.

I am graced by your divine presence again, and approach you with good tidings. the barnacles and such have been thoroughly removed from the well. atop this i took the liberty of re-grouting some of the brick, as it took minor damage to the de-shelling.

our day was well, we were able to spend most of our day doing smaller tasks that were more pleasure than work, which is always a welcome occurrence.

It has been some time since i’ve heard from you, does all fair well?

We’ve kept the beach tidy! we found many a stray algae near the temple.

Good morrow, sweet lamb. We apologize deeply for the absence, there were some matters to attend to that took more time than expected, hurricanes and the such. We thank you deeply for your efforts in our absence, and have also caught wind of the gifts you left us during our leave- bronze and fruit seeds, yes? You’re very sweet.

Physical description: dark hair wearing a weathered porcelain mask with a handsome, masculine face. the eyes are hollowed out, and the mouth is set in neutrality. Skin is midtone grey with a blue undertone, and the frills of a fish replace the ears. The neck has gills, 3 on each side, and 2 black dots just above the collarbone, perfectly symmetrical. clothes are robes, baggy yet tidy on a slim, androgynous frame. hands are clawed and webbed, so are the bare feet, and a tail somewhat resembling a shark's drags on the ground behind the heels. The mask has a natural porcelain crown built into it, and the deity overall has a quiet silhouette.

Domain: The ocean and water, from the water in your shower to the ocean trenches. In tune with it all, and can feel each digit and creature that interacts with water, more specifically at close range. Subdomains over water-based weather patterns, such as fog and rain, and also the ideaology of karma.

Offerings: seashells, silver items, small gems, glassware, sweet treats on the occasion

Physical description: Brown hair with streaks bleached by the sun that seems to defy gravity itself, with warm yellow eyes and a fanged smile. Skin is tanned and bears freckles, and has sharp, peirced ears. hands bear the claws of a cat and are retractable. Wears minimal clothing, a cropped black top and baggy pants hardly hanging around the hips, and sandals. Is adorned primarily in jewelry, gold silver and bronze, from necklaces to bracelets to anklets.

Domain: The sky, primarily what resides in it- weather patterns, clouds, birds, anything that wonders into their domain is to be considered their property until it leaves (and even then, it remains to be seen). Subdomain over sunsets.

Offerings: Sweets and flowers, or anything they can decorate their bodies with- be it paint, makeup, jewelry, or something else.

I come with great news, that the salt has been scrubbed of the temple walls. I took the liberty of polishing the walls as well— the residue dulled the surface and I saw this unfit.
