So I found a new hyperfixation. I'm very aware that this fandom is passionate, so this is probably my accidental death wish.
My detailed opinion on every character is down below. Starting from the bottom to the top, and in order.
This is just my opinion, if you enjoy any of the characters I don't like, that's great. I love that you found joy where I couldn't in them.
Nagito Komaeda
He is grating on my soul. His obsession with hope was interesting for like twenty minutes; after that, it became headache-inducing. Every chapter, I begged for him to be a victim, not even a blackened, because this thing doesn't deserve any memorable moment, especially an execution.
Kaito Momota
I just don't like his vibe. Momota is a character who drains my energy. Anytime he shows up, which is pretty often, it makes the game slow down to an agonising pace for me.
Teruteru Hanamura
I mean...he's a creep, not even a fun type of creep like others on this list. He wasn't around long enough to seriously bother me or get me attached either. I do like that he's a mama boy, who ate his mother without knowing till his final moments.
Hifumi Yamada
He didn't provide any funny moments for me; I just cringe when he's around. Yamada isn't the worst but also nothing that I want to remember. It was slightly stimulating when he became Celestia's lapdog atleast.
Himiko Yumeno
I'm going to be so honest with you, I'm being slightly petty here. I love magicians, so when a friend told me that Danganronpa had an Ultimate Magician, I was thrilled and couldn't wait to experience them. Only for it to be Himiko Yumeno. That's the main reason why she is so low.
Tenko Chabashira
She isn't low for being a misandrist, but rather how one note her hatred for men is. Tenko is funny when you first meet her, but then the joke gets old, and it becomes difficult to not roll your eyes any time this gal speaks. I also didn't care for her infantilising obsession with Himiko either. Her death was rather soothing, to put it bluntly.
Maki Harukawa
She's just a nothing character. Her trope has been done before in this series in better ways. I also find her design to be nothing of note. She's just mediocre.
Kiyondo or Kiyotaka Ishimaru (Grief Edition)
This dude was definitely there. He didn't add anything new. By the time he shows up, we know that Taka is grieving, so it felt unnecessary to even include him.
Mechamaru Nidai
He did add something to the plot, so he isn't unnecessary. I just like flesh Nekomaru way more and felt like he could have stayed human instead of becoming some goofy mecha.
Yasuhiro Hagakure
Just your local dumb stoner. His idiotic shenanigans were hilarious, but sadly, a character I often forget about.
Hiyoko Saionji
Saionji's attitude was god-awful, her insults were hilariously uncalled for and absolutely vile, and she's honestly quite pathetic. Yes, she is an awful person, but that's the point. It would be like being mad that the milkman delivers milk.
Mahiru Koizumi
The most neutral of neutrals, the beige of characters, inoffensive to the point of forgettable. In all seriousness, I forgot she existed. I just never think about Mahiru, to the point where I had to find some clips to remember what she was like. That means she has to be here, I'm afraid.
K1-B0
The cute robot who sacrificed himself. K1-B0 did his purpose in the story, and that's really it. He had like three memorable moments and didn't annoy me. Which means he goes here.
Ryoma Hoshi
A depressed convict who has many regrets. With one of the most memorable victim deaths in the franchise. I wasn't attached to him, but he was quite a chill character compared to others, a nice break, if you will.
Kirumi Tojo
The ultimate maid who acted like the ultimate maid. I can't really say more than that. Tojo's selflessness is endearing. Her whole being, the backbone of a country, is a little much, but it added to her character. She is tied with another character for my favourite execution. Overall, a cool character that didn't stand out that much. She does slay...quite literally.
Kokichi Ouma
This little gremlin did exactly what he was supposed to do: annoy me. This stupid little twink made me laugh out of sheer exhaustion, like a mother who's at the end of her rope. I want to hate him, but I just can't. He is sooo close to being on the like tier, but I still feel he is missing that extra kick for me.
Junko Enoshima
The bad bitch herself is only in the like tier; even then, she is barely scraping by neutral. I honestly believe that maybe Danganronpa's batshit crazy writing is the reason why she's so low. Junko's story should of been about some depressed teen who wanted to spread her pain in flamboyant ways. Instead of her being an international threat that caused an all out apocalypse, that killed most of the population.
Aoi Asahina
The sugar-sweet swimmer is next. I can't really find anything I dislike about her. She's just a pleasant gal who has gone through a lot. I just prefer everyone higher than her.
Genocide Jack/Jill or Genocide Sho
This gal is funny, crude, and chaotic. Perfect amount of unhinged for someone labelled the Ultimate Murderous Fiend. Yes, horrid representation of DID, like laughably bad, but as a character, very fun. She shows up the perfect amount for me, any more and I would have been sick of Jack/Sho/Jill.
Twogami/Imposter
I already love Togami, so I'm going to enjoy this dude too. They act like a nicer version of him, which was endearing. Sadly, they don't last long, so I can't put them any higher because all we got from them was an impression of another person, which is their talent...so yeah.
Mukuro Ikusaba
I love a tragic family dynamic; honestly, it's doing the heavy lifting here. Mukuro is just such a fun character to dissect, even if you need to consider the darker themes of this series.
Kazuchi Soda
I want to put him higher: design is sick, talent is cool, and he's funny. The problem is his infatuation with Sonia. Unlike others on this list, it's not fascinating to digest. Kazuchi just thinks Sonia is hot. So sadly, he is here because his crush on her is a lot of his screen time.
Sonia Nevermind
I just think she's neat. That's really it, she's better than everyone lower than her, but she can't go further. Similar to Aoi.
Makoto Naegi
The first protag, our boy Makoto. He's a nice guy who's a little dumb. Unlike some others, his positivity is rather digestible, if not comforting. He's like a bowl of tomato soup; it's nothing crazy but still a good meal I'll never say no to.
Chihiro Fujisaki
I think this computer nerd is such a cutiepie. Their intelligence was such a fun addition to the game, wish that their whole gender reveal thing wasn't so....that, but that isn't a character problem, rather a writing issue.
Chiaki Nanami
Good support, puts Nagito in his place a few times, big bonus points there. 3rd favourite execution. Her whole space cadet, who's secretly more aware than most of the cast, is such a fun subversion of that trope.
Shuichi Saihara
Look, I understand the hype, he's a wimp, a wet cat if you will. Sadly, this type of character is really hard for me to be attached to. Saihara is an example of that. He's cool, but I can't say I love him.
Akane Owari
She's just a vibe. Yes, girliepop, eat that food while we all drop like flies because what else can you really do? I love that she's dumb; this is dumb done right. I just wish her design told us her talent. I forgot her talent a lot during the game and in general because of this.
Hajime Hinata
I just enjoy him, a good protag, who really feels like he is trying his best to keep his class alive. I truly felt like each death affected him severely.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru (Original Edition)
He annoyed me at first, but by chapter 2, he grew on me. My heart truly broke for him when he tried so desperately to deny the reality that Mondo was going to die.
Mondo Owada
Our deeply insecure gang leader. His whole vibe was great, in the bad kid way. His reasoning for killing Chihiro was gut-punching. I wish we got more of him, but that's what's made his death so effective, aside from being melted into butter.
Gonta Gokuhara
My sweet bug boy, so lovely. I hated his execution, and I wanted to throw myself out the window. His whole wanting to be a gentleman made my heart melt. He is only here because I wish he had more to him, and that his talent was something else, like ultimate gentleman, wildchild, or environmental biologist; bugs feel a little..i dunno boring for him specifically.
Sayaka Maizono
Mama, she's Iconic. The first victim wanted to kill a bitch for it to backfire. Her death pose is sickening. I can't put her higher, but I don't understand the hate for her, personally. Yes, she's manipulative, but most of the characters are because they're in a death show....like yeah, they're going to backstab people, some quite literally. It's the name of the game.
Celestia Ludenberg
We love a delusional queen. Her crashout is living rent-free in my brain. Yes, her double kill is stupid, but all double kill plots in this series are. Her aesthetic is quite striking, and how quick she switches between horrifying calmness and blinding rage is so fun.
Kyoko Kirigiri
Daddy issues with a notepad. The brain cell of V1, who just sat back and watched Makoto fumble. How she tried to hide her very obvious talent was more amusing than it should have been to me.
Sakura Ogami
Her death still hurts me. She was just a peak example of looks tough but is just a sweetheart. Her calm vibe was so nice during the game. Ogami's death is still one of the most unique ones, being the only one by her own hands, which is tragic but potent.
Mikan Tsumiki
A Tragic character who made my pathetic heart bleed. I wanted to hug her throughout the entire game. When I read up on her whole backstory, it didn't shock me, but just solidified what I thought. Her trial was stupid, like every chapter 3 trial. Her despair illness was actually engaging, and I hoped we would have seen it again in V3, but whatever.
Nekomaru Nidai
He is an energy drink personified; this is the positive energy I love in a character. Yes, it's like a damn truck hitting you, or extremely minty gum, and I adore it. Unlike others, it's so cartoonishly energetic that I can't help but bathe in it.
Kaede Akamatsu
The true protag of V3, but in all seriousness, her vibe is like a golden retriever. She is one of the few friendly faces in V3. Great execution as well. Also found most of her interactions amusing.
Tsumugi Shirogane
This gal played the whole class like a fiddle; that alone is impressive. Her obsession with Junko is a fun way to include our main villain. This gal has by the end of the game THREE survivors, which means she is more successful than Junko at being the mastermind. I despised that she died by a fucking rock.
Rantaro Amami
I love a chill guy who isn't actually that chill. A survivor coming back to play is such a fun concept. Amami, looking for his sisters, is so bittersweet. On one hand, aww, he's such a good brother; on the other hand, all of his sisters are definitely dead or were never real. Such simple, tragic character things.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu (Two eyes edition)
He's so cute, like a grumpy pit bull puppy. Sure, he's an asshole, but like, no shit. I don't expect the heir of the yakuza fortune to be pleasant. My dumb little heart broke when I realised what he was doing in Chapter 2, and then his pleading for something impossible just broke my spirit.
Leon Kuwata
Wannabe rockstars are a simple way to get me to fall for a character. I can smell the Monster cans that keep him awake at night. I wish more characters hated the talent they're known for. Anyway, A+ love this loser. I would put him higher if he lasted longer.
Ibuki Mioda
Similar to Leon, but like girlbossing it. She's electricity personified. Just a great character, who's just trying to party through a horrid situation.
Gundham Tanaka
He's such a silly billy. This dude is just such a cutie, with a cool talent, wish it had a different name but I guess that's the point. Love the outfit and his adorable hamsters.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu (One-eye edition)
Who knew watching a loved one die would cause a change in view (Quite literally). Look, the human honey badger we once knew is now a chiller guy who is swallowed by regret, how fun. When he tried to go to eternal sleep with his own hands, I almost threw my lava lamp across the room because no, he can't die for real this time, I simply refused. Bonus points for eyepatch.
Miu Iruma
A crude, loud, and stupid bitch. What a girliepop, truly an icon that deserves a gentle whack on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper like a dog. She's the funniest character in the series for me. She should have been a survivor, and we all know it.
Peko Pekoyama
My sweetie pie, the most adorable gal in this franchise. She deserves to be covered in fluffy puppies. Yes, she's a murderer. If you think about it, she's killed a lot of people, but shhhh. She smiles so awkwardly, and it's beautiful. How Peko views herself is so unhealthy, but fun to think about. I also find the idea of the ultimate swordswoman having glasses humorous, like it tickles my funny bone in a way I can't explain.
Byakuya Togami
My favourite antag, arrogance in human form, a man that drank what could of been poison to prove he's right. This man has so many problems. How he clings to his family name is something that keeps me up at night. Togami played with a corpse out of sheer boredom. This asshole somehow comes around to helping not only others, but human civilisation as a whole. That arc alone is the most intriging thing about the future foundation idea.
Touko/Toko Fukawa
Little Miss Contradiction herself. I adore her mentally unwell ass. She is somehow meek and brash, independent but clingy, disgusted by sex yet craves it. It is probably more of a writing problem than actual character traits, most likely, but the idea of her tragic childhood being so horrific that she has no idea how to behave is way more fun. She has the same DID representation issue as Jack/Jill/Sho, but as a character, just beautiful in her own fucked up way.
Angie Yonaga
This is the only character that I'm unsettled by. Her lackadaisical nature during the trials made me cackle like a hyena several times. How out of pocket half the things she says are, is just hitting the spot for my humour. Angie's view of herself and the world is so intriguing, yet concerning. Sure, her constant mention of Kami/Atua is a lot, but if it means I can get more of her odd religion and island culture, then so be it. Wished Chapter 3 went differently, though.
Korekiyo Shinguji/Shinguuji
Yes, my favourite character is Korekiyo Shinguji. He is the definition of fascinating to me. His passion, delusions, and unhealthy coping mechanisms, even his tragic backstory crushed my heart. The gender fuckery that he oozes makes my own dysphoria go haywire in the best and worst of ways. His mask is just a great touch of mystery. I just love this creepy guy. Chapter 3 is such a let down, especially how the writers handled Kiyo's trauma.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted about this sooner amidst all the content I have lined up for my socials, but as someone who is very vocal about anime, fandom, and cosplay, I wanted to send my sincere condolences to Ash (@squidkid1111).
Being a Black nerd is both a wonderful and difficult thing to be. On one hand, you find so much community and friendship among people who like the same things as you, but on the other hand, it can be a bit isolating at times.
Some Black folks tend to think you’re not “Black enough” because you enjoy things that are “outside” of Black culture, and by larger proportion, many White folks very obviously are loud and proud with their racism within fandom and nerd spaces.
It breaks my heart that in an environment that is supposed to be accepting an welcoming, this young cosplayer has been relentlessly bullied by racists to the point of no longer wanting to be here…
Let’s be very clear:
If you are a racist, misogynist, or discriminatory bigot of any kind, you DO NOT belong in nerd culture.
This is a community based around enjoying FICTIONAL characters and Black people have every right to participate in anime/cosplay just as much as anyone else.
“But that character isn’t Black!” We’ll they’re not White either, they’re Japanese. By that logic, you can’t cosplay them either. 🙃🥴
Y’all are quick to criticize a Black person in a harmless costume but have no problem defending blackface or stereotyped cultural wear. Be so fr. 🙄🤦🏽♀️
Whoever said “words can never hurt me” was very dishonest. I hope that everyone takes the time to reflect on how their actions can undeniably impact others and realize the true meaning behind the phrase “death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Prov. 18:21).
Your words can either bring life to people or tear them down.
I’m so sorry there were not enough people sticking up for you, Ash. 💔 May you rest in peace and I send sincere condolences to all of Ash’s family & friends.
To all the weird and nerdy Black girls out there, you are beautiful, you matter, you’re valid, and most importantly, you are not alone. ❤️🩹🫂

Why do you interact with things you don't like? I don’t. Lots of people don't. Why not put time and energy into stuff you like?
Good Question.
Now, Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are the biggest things I clown on (On Tumblr), so I'm going to assume that's the media we are talking about.
I just think it's poorly written to the point of being humorous. My posts are mostly just comedic critiques because I really don't take the media seriously. You see a clown, you laugh, kind of deal.
I'm aware that the creator is...interesting, to say the least. I mostly focus on the shows she makes rather than her personally, though.
So most of my hateful media consumption is for chuckles. Nothing much deeper than that. I hope that answered your question.
I've noticed a gross trend that some people stop respecting pronouns of non binary datables for two very different reasons.
Reason One: A character is attractive
It really feels like some people can't fathom the idea that nonbinary people can be hot. This is commonly seen with Bobby and Mac. I just don't get why it's difficult to respect pronouns in general, but the idea that enbies have to be unattractive to be respected is so icky.
Reason Two: They hate a character
This reason is so fucked up, point blank. I don't know how to put this without being a dick. Pronouns aren't a privilege that you can revoke like a fucking driver's license, and if you do this, I despise you.
This is normally done with Lux and Rebel. Now I love these two, but I know I'm in the minority with that opinion. I've seen so many people calling them the correct pronouns until the player is insulted, and like a fucking light switch flip, they start referring to the two as he or she only.
This is just awful. This happened to me more than once. My gender isn't a cute little hat that you can just snatch from my head and throw away because you're mad at me. Any gender shouldn't depend on you to like someone to respect their existence. If you don't get that, then please fuck off from civilisation.
My name is Mohammed Ayyad from Gaza. My wife, children and I were displaced quickly since the first days of the war on Gaza, leaving behind all our wealth and dreams. We are forced to leave our home and live in the south of Gaza, Rafah.
A few days after we left the house and went to the south (Rafah) we announce our tactics to our home with ease our beautiful next and destroyed everything we owned. Everything we had went with the wind, we are now working in hell (the tent) suffering one from collecting wood to cook food which is clearly difficult to produce from the water that was spread and is polluted by the cursed war and our work we lose our source of livelihood.
I became a desperate refugee and dug into a very small tent, without water and food life became horrible and sad with the disappearance of the need to survive. It is a struggle for survival.

Dear friends, Beloved family, and kind hearts, I come to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My name is Aya Almajdoub and I am reaching out today to plead for your assistance in rescuing my family and myself from the grips of an escalating conflict. The days following October 7th have been a relentless nightmare that none of us could have anticipated. That fateful day razed to the ground everything we held dear-our home, our dreams, our aspirations, and the burgeoning business we poured our hearts into expanding.
My home, along with all my cherished memories and dreams, was destroyed. Now, homeless, I struggle to find a safe place for me and for my family.Me and my husbande welcomed our first baby into the world.
While life was once filled with promise and joy, circumstances have drastically changed. Moreover, as new parents,Me and my husband are struggling to provide for our son amidst the chaos and uncertainty.
Basic necessities such as diapers, formula, and clothing are increasingly out of reach.
Here in Gaza, we’ve been living in tents for ten months. There are no words to truly capture the depth of our suffering. 💔
Ask yourself: Could you live like this? Imagine yourself in our place—facing daily hardships with no escape. Can you adapt to a life like this? 😩
It’s not just the lack of a home. It’s the endless bombing, the constant danger, and the overwhelming fear that surrounds us 😭 We live in conditions that no one should endure: incomplete cleanliness, widespread disease, and an overwhelming struggle to survive 🍉
Words cannot fully describe the pain and suffering we face every single day. 💔💔
Please, don’t leave us alone. We need your support, your empathy, and your prayers now more than ever 🙏

I know it feels scary to see the mascot of hatred against you win, but you can make it. Four years is long, but I believe that you will get through it.
Just remember that LGBT+ communities aren't going anywhere. We as a community have been through worse.
POC have fought incredibly hard just to be seen as human. They unfortunately still need to keep fighting to be seen as equal by the people who should protect them.
Women of all shapes, sized, race, and status have always been a scapegoat since the dawn of man. Four more years of proving that you are strong, worthy, intelligent, and deserving of autonomy over yourself is just another hurdle in the face of equality.
We need to come together, not blame or divide. Support everyone and stay strong. For the youths of tomorrow.
