It’s refreshing because I’m glad that the creators and actors aren’t really tiptoeing around. They are literally saying there is a romance and eloquently describing why that is with thought and intent.

It’s sad because from 2015 to 2019 in the sequel trilogy era of the SW we got none of that.

It just reminds me how sh*tty Lucasfilm handled things. We all can now confidently see there was romantic intent behind Rey and Ben’s interactions from the first moment to the last when we view it as a whole… But that was and still is all due to the community of the Reylo fandom. We’re the ones that saw it and even when no one confirmed anything continued on. Media sites, magazines and so forth when they talked of Reylo usually sited the shippers for information. We didn’t have any of the higher ups confirming anything practically… Except for Rian and we all saw how he was treated by LF and the fandom. It was always so taboo.

To see ,for example, Tom Hiddleston talk about Loki and Sylvie’s dynamic so openly and with such candid frankness is nice… Can you imagine ever getting to hear that same level of answers from Daisy or Adam… No, because LF had them under lock and key , all to appease the trolls.

This is already a long and rambling post but what I really wanted to say is I don’t know as a Sylki shipper how things will end up but no matter what I’m grateful that I’m supporting a ship that isn’t being almost completely ignored by their creators.
