Sighing into the my cell phone for like the millionth time, hearing Jennie telling me exactly what we need for tonight. “Jennie,” I said into the phone “and don’t forget the candles, we need those the most for this!” She practically yelled, completely ignoring me. It’s a good thing she’s on speaker. “Y/n, are you even listening to me? I really want to try this game out and tonight seems like the right time to do it!” Jennie complained to me as I was getting the stuff in a bag. “Yes Jennie I hear. And I got everything. Still don’t understand why it has to be tonight.”

Groaning into the phone, “it’s a full moon tonight and it’s supposed to rain so I thought it’ll be perfect, I don’t expect you to understand.” Another sigh leaving my mouth, as I finish gathering everything. “Alright, I got everything. Now will you tell me who’s going to be there?” She squeals with excitement, “okay since you helped a lot, I was going to wait until we got to the place...,” “Jennie just tell me already!!” Sighing she replied, “fine, Lucas and jungkook will be there.” “Oh how fun.” I said in a non enthusiastic voice. “It will be fun now meet me at the place. Bye!” Hanging up on me before I got to say bye back.

Arriving at the place. It was an old abandoned “haunted” house. The windows were broken but obviously blocked off with some wood. As I pulled up I see Jennie with jungkook and Lucas. Oh how I wished I had other plans for today! Once I parked the car I see jungkook coming towards me, probably to help with the bags. Don’t know why this girl needs so much just for some stupid little game. “Hi y/n! Jennie told me to come help you.” He said with his cute bunny smile. “Aww thanks jungkook, you really didn’t have to.” He just shook his head and opened the backseat door getting the bags and walking away. Locking my car I followed him to the front of the house where Lucas and Jennie were standing.

You could see the excitement in Jennie’s eyes. As we were getting closer we heard Jennie yell, “oh good you’re finally here! Now let’s go inside.” Rolling my eyes I walked up the steps to the front door walked passed Lucas without looking at him, “y/n” he said in a unamused tone, “Lucas” I said in the exact tone he did. Groaning coming Jennie made us stop in our tracks, “you both will get along during this game, or I swear to god beat you both!” We both mumble a sorry to her and walked inside the house.

As we got in the house, it was dark and you could see dust and webs all over the place. The only light coming inside was from our flashlights. “Okay kids, follow me!” Jennie said in a joking matter. We followed her to what seemed like the living room, before we got everything settled Jennie wanted to make sure we have exactly what we needed. “Okay, I want to go through everything we have and make sure we have exactly everything.” She said taking out a piece of paper, probably with the stuff we have in the bags.

“Alright, if I say the name just take it out of the bag and put it on the table,” she told us as if we were kindergartens but still replied with a yes ma’am for the hell of it. “So we need to do this exactly at 12:00 am otherwise it won’t work. Do we got the candles?” She asked us “check” said jungkook while taking them out of the bag. “Good, how about a piece of paper?” The three of us looked at each other wondering who was supposed to bring the paper. “Oh wait I have it!” We heard Jennie day, sighing out of relief when we thought we’ll get yelled for not having paper. “Who has the pen or pencil?” She said looking at the three of us, “that’ll be me.” Lucas said taking out four pens. “Anyone have matches or lighter?” Once she said that everyone looked at me. “What? You guys really think I just have one here with me right now?” I told them in annoyance. “Wait you don’t have it?” Jungkook said in a worried voice, “calm down I have one.” I said while taking the lighter out of my jacket.

After listing everything off the list, Jennie decided we should take this to one of the rooms that is allegedly haunted. Once we’re up the stairs we walked to the “haunted” room, as we opened the door it made a creaking noise. We all felt uneasy about this but we are doing it anyway. We walked in and got everything settled on the floor. We all wrote our full names on the paper, draw blood from our finger and put that on the paper. Placing the paper with out names in front of the door, we put the candles down and lit them on each paper. Getting out of the room we closed the door behind us. We all knocked on the door twenty two times, once we got to the twenty second knock it was finally midnight.

They four friends walked back into the room blowing out their candles, now they have just allowed the “Midnight man” to enter. Immediately Jennie told them relight their candle. This is where the game officially begins. As they finished relighting the candles, Jennie made sure they stay together and no one is left behind. She explains if your candle goes out you have ten seconds to relight it, if you failed, you must immediately surround yourself in a circle of salt. The goal is to avoid the Midnight Man until 3:33am.

12:15am

The first fifteen minutes were filled with joy and jokes. Thinking they’ll win against the Midnight Man. They were laughing. But then suddenly it started to get colder, and Y/N candle went out. Everyone freaked out and she managed to relight it within the five seconds and they all hurried to the next room.

12:30am

They walked around the abandoned building, scared as shit but not wanting to give up, blaming the wind for blowing the candle out. They saw things. They heard things. Jungkook suggested we spilt up, but the other three disagreed. Splitting up while playing this game was a terrible idea they thought.

1:00am

Lucas’s candle went out, but he relit it as fast as possible. Eight seconds it took him to relight it. Gasping for air as if he was in a hurry and a relieved laughter escaped his mouth. Making sure he had his salt with him, they continued to walk.

1:30am

Jennie screamed when we reached the last room upstairs. She ran out, we went after her and it sounded like she was crying. “He’s in there! I saw him!” Jennie screamed at us while pointing to the room upstairs. Her candle went out as she ran to what looked like the kitchen. Trying to relight her candle as fast as she could, but she couldn’t get it to burn. She poured salt in a circle in a panic.

2:00am

We were all so scared. Jennie was still in the circle of salt, and I heard a noise behind that made me jump. We all looked at the direction the noise came, which was coming from upstairs. We all saw a black figure leave one room and enter another. Jungkook insisting we go check it out. Lucas and I didn’t want to leave Jennie alone, “I’ll be okay guys, just be careful okay?” She said as her voice cracked. The three of us walked up the stairs and to the room we saw the black figure walked in. We stood outside of the room, my hand on the doorknob just looking at it. “Wait are you waiting for open it already,” Lucas told me. Blinking a few times I finally opened the door but as I opened the door jungkook started yelling behind us.

He was getting dragged by the Midnight Man. Dragged him two rooms down from the room we were at. His candle was also out and he didn’t have salt with him. We tried to go get him but we were both stuck. Couldn’t move an inch. But the look on jungkook when he was getting pulled will haunt us forever. When he was out of view we could finally move. We ran to the room he was in but the door was locked, but we could still hear jungkook in there. There was also scratching coming from the door.

But then it stopped. We stopped hearing the scratches. We stopped hearing jungkook. We felt a cold breeze hit us and then our candles went out. Screaming our heads off we tried to relight it but it wasn’t working, “why isn’t it working!?” I yelled at Lucas. “Stop yelling I don’t know why!!” He yelled back. “Get the salt! Where is the salt?!” I just kept yelling. We didn’t have the salt on us. It was with jungkook and he didn’t have it with him. The only person who had the other salt was Jennie.

We ran down stairs as fast as possible to Jennie. Once we got to the kitchen, she wasn’t there. Just a circle of salt. And her candle. “Where is she?! Where the fuck is she at?!” Lucas yelled. “Jennie if this is a prank you win!! Come out now!” I yelled out to Jennie, wherever she’s at. But she never came out from wherever she was hiding at, she never laughed that loud laugh, and saying that this was all a prank and we could just go home. But she never did. Tears welling up in both of our eyes. “Lucas...” I said barely in a whisper, “it’s okay, we’ll find them.” He said to me trying to be the strong guy. He grabbed my hand and we walked around down stairs this time.

As we walked past the dining area, we heard Jennie talking in the other room. We looked at each other, wondering is this just part of some big prank. “I’m really hoping this is all a joke,” I whispered to Lucas. He nodded his as we walked closer to the room Jennie is in.

2:30am

As they reached the room Lucas saw Jennie facing the fire place talking to a tall black figure. Gasping came from Y/N, “Jennie!!” She yelled out. Both Jennie and the figure looked at her. Lucas quickly covered her mouth and whispered, “run as fast as you could and don’t look back okay?” All she could was nod her head. “Ready? Let’s go!” Lucas said while grabbing her hand and running away from that room. “Whatever you do, don’t look back!” Lucas screamed at Y/N. She tried so hard not to look back. But when she did, she’ll never forget what she saw.

Lucas found a hiding spot, and as soon they found it they heard Jennie’s laugh. A laugh that turned evil in a second. But then it stopped. It got so quiet. A few minutes passed and they heard jungkook voice from upstairs calling their name. “Lucas, Y/N where are you guys?!” He yelled. “Jungkook! Over here!” Y/N yelled back. He kept yelling the same thing over and over but it sounded like he was getting further away. “Y/N, I’m going to need you to stay here while I go check on jungkook okay?” “No no! Lucas no don’t leave me here please!” She whispered yelled at him. “I have to, just whatever you do. Don’t make any noise okay? Promise me.” He told her but she just kept crying. “Promise me Y/N!” “I promise!! I promise..” he hugged her and went to go look for jungkook.

As he went to go look for him, Y/N stood hidden and quiet until Lucas came back. She was getting worried. It felt so long since he left. As Y/N was about to go and look for Lucas, he came back breathing really hard and horror written all over his face. “What happened? Did you find him? Is he hurt?” She cornered him with questions. “I-it wasn’t him Y/N. It wasn’t him at all.” He told her. “W-What do you mean it wasn’t him?” She asked him but he couldn’t put into words what he saw. And what he saw was jungkook but it wasn’t him, blood was coming out of his eyes. And the first thing Lucas did was ran back to Y/N. “Believe me, it wasn’t him. And don’t go if they call your name because Y/N it’s not them...it’s the Midnight Man pretending to be them.” Lucas told her. All she could do was cry.

3:00am

They’re still hiding. They’re cold. They’re tired. They just want this to be over and go home. “Maybe we should get out of hiding and go see if we could actually find Jennie and jungkook,” He told her. “What if we can’t find them Lucas? What if...” she choked and couldn’t finish her sentence. “No, don’t think like that alright? I know exactly what you’re thinking and they’re not. They can’t be..” He said with tears welling up in his eyes. “Come on lets go and try to find them.” He whispered to her.

As they went and looked for their friends. The salt circle still there when Jennie was there before. Heading upstairs they went to the room where they saw jungkook being pulled into. Hesitate about reaching for the doorknob Lucas turned it and was able to open it this time. And there he was, jungkook hanging from the ceiling blood coming out from his eyes, just like how Lucas saw him downstairs. Y/N dropped to the floor crying her eyes out. “Noo not jungkook!!! Whyyy!!” She yelled out in anger. Lucas bent down and hugged her tears coming down his face. Their best friend is dead.

Lucas picked up Y/N and took her out of the room, closing the door behind them. Trying to calm her down, “he can’t be dead Lucas. He just can’t.” She whispered to him. “I know, I know. But we still need to find Jennie, whenever you’re we’ll go find her.” He told her, making sure she’s calm enough to look for her other friend. After she calm down a bit they went and look for Jennie. Walking back downstairs and to the last place they saw Jennie which was towards the living room area.

As they got closer, it got colder. They arrived to the living room and they saw Jennie lying on the floor the Midnight Man standing above her. Lucas trying to run towards her but Y/N stopped him, shaking her head no that he shouldn’t get closer to them. Sighing knowing she’s right, they looked back at Jennie and he’s gone. There’s just Jennie still laying on the floor, Lucas took this moment and ran to her. “What are you doing?!” She yelled at him as she followed behind. As they got closer, they notice she wasn’t breathing and blood coming from her eyes. Both falling to the grown crying their eyes out. Two of their friends are dead. Will this game ever be over they thought?

3:33am

Game over. They win. Lucas and Y/N grabbed the flashlights from the bag and turn them on. Lucas went and got jungkook and brought him over next to Jennie. “We uh we should leave and maybe call the cops,” Lucas said as he put jungkook on the floor. Nothing came from Y/N, but she thought it was a good idea.

Gathering the stuff together, they exit the house, Lucas driving Y/N car because she could t get herself to do it. Once they reach an area with phone signal they called the cops and have the cops follow them to the house. Once they got there, jungkook and Jennie were both gone. Making it seem like the two were going crazy. They tried so hard to persuade the cops that something did happen here tonight. But they weren’t believing anything they said.

It’s been two days now. They haven’t told anyone else what happened. Still no sign of their friends. Missing person flyers everywhere around town, just hoping someone have seen them. But nothing. To think they hated each other before, they’re not closer than ever. Will Lucas and Y/N get over this trauma? Will they ever find their friends? Did the Midnight Man take them? No one will ever know. But even if the game is over, he will always be watching you...

It was really late and yoongi couldn’t sleep. Tossing and turning all night long. With a sigh he finally got up and decided a walk would be good. Putting his shoes and jacket on, he grabbed his house keys, locking the door on his way out.

He walked to the park. Sat down, enjoying the quiet night. After a while he went to the market and got himself a drink and a snack. Walking around a bit more, he felt someone following him. Looking behind him, he saw three figures. Walking a bit faster he noticed the others speeding up.

Running into an ally noticing it’s a dead end. He came face to face with the three figures that were following him. All three had mask, the tallest one speaking, “you think you could get away from us?” He ask yoongi with a laugh. Pulling out a knife from his pocket, “I don’t think so pretty boy!” One of the masked men yelled.

The other two men without a weapon ran up to yoongi and started throwing punches at him. He fought back as best as he could. When they were done with him the taller one with the knife came up and stabbed yoongi in the stomach. Wide eyed, looking down in shock as the knife is still in his stomach. The three men running away leaving yoongi bleeding to death. Yoongi slides down the wall still looking at the knife.

Instead of calling for help, he calls hoseok. His roommate. After a few rings he answers, yoongi could tell he woke him but he just needed to talk to him. “Hyung, do you know what time it is?” Hoseok asked him. Chuckled followed by a cough, yoongi was having trouble breathing and answering. Worried filled hoseok, “Hyung...are you okay?”

Yoongi didn’t want hoseok to know what just happened, he had to think of lie and think of one quick. “I...I-I was getting chased by a dog,” he laughed jokingly. “It was really big hobi!” All he heard on the other side was laughter coming from hoseok. A smile forming in yoongi’s face, he laughed back trying to hold backs cough.

“Not funny hoseok! It was real big, I’m hiding from it now.” Hoseok still seem worried about yoongi and the way he’s speaking, “want to go pick you up Hyung?” Wide eyed, he shook his head forgetting he can’t see him, “no! No that’s okay, I’ll...I’ll be okay hoseok.” He didn’t believe him one bit but he let it go this time. “Alright, If you say so Hyung..” sighing, he knows hoseok doesn’t believe him, but just listening to him talk out a smile on his face.

They stayed silent on the phone for a bit, both just listening to one another breathing through the phone. Yoongi was tired. Extremely tired. He stopped bleeding but he lost too much. And hoseok was trying to stay awake for yoongi sake, even if he didn’t know what was going on the end of the phone. “Hoseok, get some sleep I’ll be fine.” Yoongi said to hoseok. “Are you sure Hyung?” He replied back. He knew he wasn’t going to be fine but he also didn’t want to worry hoseok. “I’ll be fine hobi, I promise.”

A little part of hoseok doesn’t believe yoongi but the other half does. And he goes with the other half. Sighing into the phone he replied with, “okay, hyung. Good night. Sleep well.” Yoongi replying back with a good night. They both hang up the phone. Hoseok fast asleep, yoongi fighting sleep, but he couldn’t fight much longer. His breathing became shallow, he knew it’s time now. It’s time to go.

Before taking his last breath he whispered, “I love you hoseok, never forget me.” And that was the end of Min Yoongi.

‪Blood. He was losing too much blood. I’m not sure what to do. I stopped the blood but more keeps coming out. “Hyung...it’s going to be okay. Help is coming.” Jungkook assured jimin who’s trying his best staying awake. “Jungkookie, I’m tired.” Jimin said with a raspy voice. Worried filled jungkook face, he called for help but they’re a few hours away, he doesn’t know how much longer his hyung has left. ‬

‪“You gotta stay awake hyung! Please stay awake..” jungkook scream at jimin to stay awake. He knew how much jimin was tired, he knew jimin couldn’t stay awake a minute longer. But he had to stay awake and he’ll do anything to keep him alive. With a shaky voice and tears running down his face, jungkook though of a wake to keep his hyung awake and talking until help has arrived. ‬

‪“.....hyung you remember our trip to Disneyland in Japan? You were so dizzy once we got off the spinning ride” jungkook chuckled while recalling the memories from their Japan trip. Jimin tried to laugh, but all that came out was a cough. He looked at jungkook with sad tired eyes. He was just so very tired. “Jungkookie...” jimin said in a very low voice. “I remember that trip as if it was yesterday....let’s have another one soon.” ‬

‪Jungkook smile with tears falling down his face. He wishes his hyung would be alive to have another trip like that. “We could have tons of trips, go anywhere you like. What you say jimin-ssi?” He didn’t let jimin answer him, because he heard a noise. Going to the window to check if his ears were tricking him, that’s when he saw the lights. Help has arrived. His hyung will be saved. ‬

‪Running back to jimin with a smile on his face and crying harder than ever, “help is here hyung!” Jungkook screamed to jimin. “Will I be okay jungkook?” Jimin had asked jungkook, they both knew how tired jimin was, but jungkook will not have his hyung die on him. Not now. Not ever. ‬
