This artistic concept has been floating around in my mind a lot recently. A black woman as a knight, bearing the military labor defensively and offensively that aspects of black womanhood come with intentionally or unintentionally. Even the softest black woman at times, has to pick up this sword and so I guess since I’m not an actual artist, I’d create this artist collage concept of how that makes me feel.

It’s a heavy cross but there’s also a sense of integrity and honor, to those who master or are champion’s of this role.

She’s seen as a saint but I included the picture of the Virgin Mary crying in vibrant red, because the cost is so high.

It’s something I reimagine more positively with Black Womanhood since it triggers a lot of us and rightfully so.
