“ as delightful as that sounds i doubt i came here to make friends. ”

“Well if you hate it that much, you know you always have the choice to leave.”

“ hate isn’t the word i’d use, i merely don’t understand it’s charm. ”

“Pretty sure I haven’t. You’re Elijah Mikaelson, you’re an original vampire and your my dad…”

“One would assume you do, considering you two are married and have three kids…”

turning towards her mother’s husband she shrugged. “does anybody? who actually wants to be here.” 

“It was one hundred percent yours and mom’s idea, so don’t ask me.”

syrupy brown orbs bore into his own as a cherry glossed smile tugs at the corners of her lips, a girlish giggle spewing from her in reaction to his inquiry. “not all that long ago,” katherine answered in a rather duh tone, a freshly manicured hand placing itself upon his chest. “are you feeling okay?”

“i told you there was nothing here for us, but it was you who kept on insisting we come back. i suppose it’s alright, after all at least i’m here to make things a little less dreary — not to mention your family could probably use our wits given what’s going on.”

“Elijah?” he said, raising a brow at the original. “seems like everyone’s coming here”
