Julia is a passionate and dedicated dancer. She keeps a strict routine when it comes to balancing her core classes, dance classes, studying, and outside-of-school activities. She studies various genres from ballet and jazz, to modern and contemporary. She's a perfectionist at heart, but beneath all that glossy exterior is a soft-spoken, sweet-hearted, zealous, and determined young woman who wants the best for herself. Julia takes her education very seriously , making sure to never miss an assignment deadline, though she does miss class sometimes. Recently, though, itβs because she's still recovering from a horrible act of dishonesty and infidelity.

major-health sciences, college athlete
Andrew is your typical college athlete. He likes parties and tailgating; he always has a girl swooning for him, which kind of boosts his ego. He doesn't focus on them much; he pretty much keeps to himself outside of events. He may be a human tank, but he is a big softy. When he is not in class or in a study group(which is mainly his teammates), he's at the gym or at rigorous football practices. Outside of football, Andrew is a huge science nerd. He decided to major in it for fun at first, but became enthralled with the topic. Anything he gets interested in, he becomes passionate about. His dad doesn't understand why he puts energy into that when he should just be focused on football.
Tuesday, July 14th- 8:45 am
Julia grunts at the sound of her alarm, letting her know it's time to get up. She swears she's a morning person, but as soon as she hears the unpleasantly loud sounds of a violin coming from her alarm, she wants to chuck her phone into the wall.
She rolls out of bed and immediately goes into her bathroom to wash her face. She sits and stares at herself for a minute, regretting life choices as she starts brushing her teeth, preparing for another long day of classes.
Julia starts getting ready to leave her dorm room, when she gets a call from the last person she wants to talk to right now. At all. Ever.
Long for Fuck-ass. (that's what her friends refer to him as.)
She knows she shouldn't answer, but the suspense as to why he was calling in the first place was killing her. Every fiber of her being was telling her to decline the call and ignore that little short son of a bit-
"Hello?" She says with a bit of hesitance in her voice.
She's praying the line mysteriously disconnects.
A man's prickly voice comes through the line, "Hey, Jae Bae! I knew you wouldn't decline my call."
She grimaces at the sound of his annoying voice and at the fact that he still has the nerve to call her that nickname. He said it was cute and that it made her sound more attractive when he called her that. Yeah, whatever the fuck that means.
"Do not call me that, Franklin", Julia says his name with as much malice as she can muster, trying not to cuss him out right then and there.
Franklin chuckles as he says, "Aw someoneβs still bitter I broke up with them huh? Well I may be with Roni now but dont worry you still my bae."
Veronica. Julia's friend since freshman year. They met in her freshman seminar class, something about stress management. They had been completely inseparable.
Well, that was before Veronica decided to sleep with Frank, on Julia's 19th birthday.
She buries that memory deep in her mind and asks, "Are you serious right now Fra-", but he cuts her off.
"See how you answered the phone for me. I know you still have feelings; it's normal to miss being with someone amazing like me, but you've got to move on."
This man can not possibly think she still has feelings for him.
After how badly he treated her, he should be grateful she hadn't run him over with an 18-wheeler. That's not who she is, though.
"Franklin, is that the only reason you called? To boast about your relationship, and tear me down?', Julia says trying to ignore the pain resurfacing in her heart. Quietly wishing she hadn't said it at all.
He fake gasps, " Julia, I would never want you to feel like I'm tearing you down. I'm so sorry. I'll tell you what you should come to this party for Roni and me. It'll cheer you up!"
"And why would I do that?'
A pause comes from the other line.
"...Don't you want to be there to celebrate our engagement?"

..............huff........
Andrew is up bright and early, doing pullups in his apartment's gym, while a Don Toliver song is blasting in the background.
Sweat beads have formed at the median of his forehead.
He's frustrated. That phone call replays in his mind from the night before.
Mr. Green always knows the best way to make his son feel extra special
"Hey, son, it's your pops. How have you been?"
A sigh escapes Andrew as he says, "I've been fine, what do you want?", feeling completely over this shit already.
"I just wanted to tell you that your play at last week's game could've been better", Andrew groans and cuts him off. "Really, Dad? Can't you congratulate me for helping us get yet another win this season? You just want to harp on any negative thing I do."
"Let me finish. I never said you played badly, you just need to play better, that's all." His dad grumbles, "Didn't think you'd be so sensitive about it"
Andrew rubs his face in frustration, "Yeah, ok, anything else, Dad?'
His father clears his throat, "Actually, yeah, Me and Cindy have a pre-planned event to go to on Thursday. It's some gala that her reading club is throwing. Anyway, I know it's your birthday and all, but I promised her we would go. You understand, right? Of course you do," His dad chuckles to himself.
Andrew always has hope that one day his dad will come through for him and be the support that he needs, but every time, he is left disappointed. He chose his second wife over his own son and criticized him in the process. Not that he cares much about his birthday, his dad never cared to put much effort into that part of Andrew's life, so he stopped expecting much as he got older. It's the fact that Andrew has been working his ass off since he got to university to show his dad he's worth caring about and his dad still canβt muster up one βIβm proud of you, sonβ
Andrew drowns out the rest of his dad's words and doesn't even get to respond when he says, "You've always been so understanding. Anyway, I've got to go, alright? Talk to you soon. Don't forget what I said about your plays. Bye now," and hangs up the phone.
Andrew plops down from the pull-up bar, trying to forget about that draining conversation with his father. When you have a father like Andrews, good enough is simply not enough.
Andrew's dad, Andre Andrew Green, was an NFL star back in the late 90's. He played all through high school and into college, and expected Andrew to follow suit. When he tore his ACL one season, he was forced to retire. Ever since then, he has wanted his son to also go pro; that's why he's so overcritical.
He's always quick to remind Andrew, "You being '"'good enough'"' is not enough".
With a groan, Andrew heads back to his apartment to shower. He reluctantly wants to do anything today; his teammates are planning something to celebrate his birthday, he has a pending presentation deadline, and oh yeah, late-night football practice. Gosh, he wishes he had slept in today.
He keeps repeating his dad's words in his head over and over.
He knows he's been doing a phenomenal job as linebacker for his team; part of him wishes his dad could see that. Instead, he sees what Andrew didn't do right, or could have done instead.
All of it overcrowds his mind as he gets himself ready for what is probably going to be the longest day of his life.
