It had been months since he'd last seen you. Not even your dog tags to keep ahold of. He would check your status sometimes, and it would still hit him evey time, 'KIA' on the screen. The ribbon sent home to nobody who would miss you anyway.
That was why you'd joined the military. Family. Belonging, having a team.
And you did. Simon still remembered seeing you briefly on the field, just for a moment. You looked normal. Fine. You were focused, doing your job. It should've just been a standard in and out.
That was before the alarms started wailing.
You didn't get on the helicopter. You didn't radio. They sent out a search, the place was deserted by then anyway anyway. Simon called until his voice was hoarse. He forced search after search until finally Price had to tell him to call it.
Now, on another mission, it was all going to shit again. Alarms were wailing, red strobe lights fucked with the dimensions of the building.
For just a moment, he thought he saw you on the otherside, slashing through your own people. He blinked, expecting it to just be another one of his 'visions.' He saw you everywhere. You were still there, attempting to take down some poor bastard of a rookie who shouldn't have been on this mission anyway.
Blood pooled from his throat as he dropped to the ground. Simon couldn't move.
Your head snapped up. It was you. He'd know those eyes anywhere. But there was no recognition in them, nothing really in them at all. Your face was set in a way he'd never seen you look before.
You lunged forward knife set for his ribs. More on reflex than anything, he batted your forearm away grabbing your wrist.
"The fuck are you doing?" His hands were tight on your wrists, eyes searching your empty ones.
You didn't answer just brought your legs up and kicked his vest hard, enough for him to stumble back, dropping you. Pressing your advantage you clipping his arm woth your knife.
He hissed, managing to retaliate with a swift jab to your chest. He could out fight you, always had, and probably always would.
Clearly, you didn't remember that. It doesn't seem like you remember much of anything really.
You kept lunging like an animal, baring your teeth in a snarl, knife slicing through air.
"Come on--you *know* me!" He huffed, holding you against his chest in a full nelson. "I'm not hurting you---" That was cut off when the baxk of your head found his face. He swore, feeling his teeth cut into his lip. Then you were gone from his grip and when he went to grab for you, you were already sprinting down the hall.
Every muscle in his body was poised to chase after you, but his radio crackled. "All units set for extrac."
Simon hesitated before falling in with the rest of the team in another hallway.
***
"She didn't recognize you? At all?" Price huffed behind a cigar.
"I'm telling you Price, they did something to her. You know she'd never---"
"You've said it yourself before. The ones you know can hurt you the most."
His hands tightened on the arm chair. "You didn't see her. It wasn't her. Her eyes, they were *empty.* She didn't know me, and she most certainly didn't know the logo on our uniforms as anything but 'kill on sight.'"
Price sighed. "I'm sorry Simon. There's nothing I can do unless we capture her, which isn't a priority. You know as well as I do people are lost all the time."
Simon clenched his jaw. He could find you. Next mission. He would do his job, but Simon was not a good soldier if he couldn't multitask. He would find you. He would bring you back. He would fix you.

Sometimes I get mad there no fics of my f/os (specially series) that have a recent update or something specific that I’m looking for and I get mad but then I remember that I’m a writer and I can write my own fics but I need to finish my other fics so I get even more mad😭
Like I’m sorryyyyy I’m no better than anyone 💔
Btw I write x reader fics on Wattpad and ao3, this one is yandere lookism x male (idol) reader👀 and it’s honestly my fav next to another unreleased bllk fic
I’m a yumeshipper but I don’t mind n1 fans and stuff of any of my f/os I find people specially funny😭 (aka I separate Yumeshipping from fanfics)
I don't I really post here that much lately and I feel like I just need to address this a little:
No, I did not abandon nor do I plan on abandoning this account. I still love writing, I still love reading and I still want to write. (Also regarding comments on the Heist series (Emre x reader), yes I plan on continuing it)
I'll be honest, I'm not sure why it is like this. I want to write, but again, I feel like it's my motivation problems. Procrastination would also be a term for it??? I'm not sure.
I'm not planning on oversharing or sharing too much here either way. I feel like I'm doing mostly okay, I draw more than before (I sketch almost everyday which is something that I am really proud of), I tried to read a little more even if sometimes it's just me reading one or two chapters one day at a time then being unable to touch the same book until next week. Or I don't have problems sitting down and playing games, even if I do feel like my attention span sucks lately.
I really don't know what is going on. And I feel bad that I keep promising and hoping to write and then I feel like I am unable to, which I apologize for.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna take a longer break or something, or if I'm gonna write something that interests me rn (Detroit become human for example), or maybe non x reader fics (I was thinking about writing something with my oc Daniel x Luis but we'll see). I really have to work on that.
I hate that I can't promise anything as of now, and once again, I'm sorry that it's like this.
"ew I hate x reader, I am not saying that/they are not doing that to me--" that's so sad, I'm sorry bud :/ have you tried being fun? or not a coward? maybe experiencing a little whimsy now and then? getting silly with it, even??

The common room was nearly empty. You were still tucked into an armchair, reading a textbook for History of Magic you were disappointingly behind on.
'So much for being an academic weapon this semester.' You thought with a soft huff, thumb rubbing over the page restlessly. You wanted nothing more to sleep, you'd done this to yourself.
You'd procrastinated the entire week, but you hadn't even procrastinated for the purpose of doing anything. You'd only sat and fiddled with your wand or listened to Remus and the others talk. Now you had piles of work to do in two days. Doable. Totally.
Stairs creaked from the tower. Briefly you lifted your head. Remus was stooped on his cane, his eyes landing on you. "Still reading that? You could have just asked me for the basic summary and notes. S'what I do for Sirius when he doesn't feel like doin' it."
He walked over, the sound of his cane muffled on the carpet. You knew it was after a full moon, so he was still sore.
"I wanted to do it myself. If I don't do it myself--" you cut yourself off. If you don't do it yourself what? You're a failure? A quitter? "It just doesn't stick in my brain if I don't." You finally say.
His lips pressed together in a disbelieving hum. "Right. It's nearly midnight, dove."
You thumb paused it's swiping on the pages. *Dove.* it was nice when he called you that.
"I still have 4 more chapters."
"You need sleep." He responded, reaching out to grab your book. It was almost pitiful the way the book just slipped from your hands. He set it aside. "The last 3 weeks you've been working yourself senseless."
"Not true," you huffed, crossing your arms like a petulant child. "I did nothing this week, and that's why I need to---"
"Mm-mm. No you don't, dove. You need sleep. I can help you in the morning. And you deserve a break. You've been a bloody idiot, loading yourself up on so many classes."
You opened your mouth to protest but the words that were going to come felt like sand in your mouth. "....fine." You mumbled.
"Good. Do you want me to walk you up?" His voice was hesitant on the last bit. You almost smiled.
"No. It's okay. Thank you, Remus." You stood taking the book from the table.
"Somebody's got to remind you not to kill yourself working." He shrugged, eyes averted.
hi!! just read a few of your oneshots and i love the hurt/comfort vibes you have going on. i’d love to req something with a similar vibe with simon riley where she’s struggling to fall/stay asleep (or could be like an insomnia situation), the cause is up to you, and how he helps her through it. if the idea works i’d love to see your interpretation of this!! if not, no worries xx
GASP THANK YOU!! Many kisses to you anon (this is actually what i needed to write for myself too lol)
Simon Riley x reader (Gender neutral)
You'd been lying awake for a long time. Thoughts wouldn't stop running circles in your head, spiral after spiral. You were on your side, facing the wall, hoping not to wake Simon.
You needed to get up. Distract yourself. You weren't gonna wake Simon up again with your stupid brain. The only issue was, his heavy arm was draped across your waist, and the man was a light sleeper--of course he was.
Gingerly, you shifted your legs over, and then gently moved his arm off of you. Carefully. So carefully. You cringed when his arm hit the mattress. Standing up, you took a few steps and--*creak*--shit.
You froze.
"What're you doin', love?" His voice was rough from sleep.
"Sorry Si. Didn't mean to wake you. Just wanted some water." Your voice sounded shaky, even to you.
"Mhm." He sounded unconvinced. "Come here."
"Simon--"
"Love. Here. Now. I'd rather you wake me up than trap yourself in your own brain." You heard the sheets shift. You turned and he was on his back, a bit more propped against the headboard.
With a soft sigh, you crawled back into the bed, letting him pull you into his side.
"Put your head on my chest. Listen to me breathe, yeah?" One of his hands rubbed soothing circles on your back. You obeyed, feeling the steady rise and fall of his chest.
"Everything's okay, love. Whatever you're thinking about, whatever situations you're dreaming up in that brain of yours, they can wait until morning." His voice was low and soothing, his hand a grounding pressure on your back.
You began to relax, his breathing and touch lulling you to sleep.
"Tha's it. Go to sleep love. S'okay. I'll be right here in the mornin' for you." You felt him tip his head down pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
