Against all odds, the two characters who have this kind of dynamic (despite not being a couple in my AU) are actually Regulus (A) and Lily (B) 😂

After she (who was very much pregnant) put him in his place during the war (by beating the absolute hell out of him after he made a deeply intolerant comment about Remus while Remus was literally holding his baby), Regulus realized that being a first-time parent raising an infant in the middle of a war wasn’t an excuse to treat the rest of the Horcrux Hunt gang like shit.

The beating was so brutal (broken nose, and Sirius even had to stitch up his cheek afterward) that Regulus basically swore to never willingly cross Lily Evans again, even though she is generally nothing but sweet 😂

I genuinely think he still has flashbacks every time she nicely asks him to do anything, so he just… cooperates.

Making a cover for a fanfic I haven’t even written yet just to see how it’d look on my Kindle.
