Mid October activity addition. Get back to running. Took off a few weeks for various reasons. I decided it was time to get back outside. The new accessory to take along is a mask 😷
Covid-19 has kept me from taking my workouts outside. I didn’t know if I needed a mask on throughout my jog. I finally took my chances to jog outside I took a lot of small streets to avoid people. It felt slightly like I was jogging in the suburbs. Such a great day to start back to running/jogging/walking outside.
October 13!! Still going strong with Peloton as the workout. This months goal is to make sure time to cool down and stretch. After a tough workout all I want to do is go home to shower. I know it is important to let my body cool down. I am feeling the difference already starting with a short 5 minute stretch.
At some point I no longer enjoy lifting weights. I find it boring but it is important. Slow and steady wins the race currently striving for 2-3 times a week with a weights session. Progress will come one day I hope to enjoy weights like I used to when I was younger.

Happy Friday!! Finishing the first week of September. The weather was perfect for Maryland, not too hot.
September’s goal:
Peloton workouts will be a miles goal. The goal for this month is minimum 13 miles, strive for 15 miles. After the first few days of September it seems as though it will take 50 minutes to meet this mile goal. Along with cardio weights must increase to a steady 2-3 times of a weights session weekly.
So far it’s been going well. Some days I’m in my head about not getting the work done. But it’s paying off got to push through sometimes. I’m so happy my gym has been open to get me through this pandemic and work life stress.
Friday night another thunderstorm came roaring into the area. After finishing errands I was finally able to muster the energy for the gym. Push the excuses away once you get the sweat working you know it’s worth the hard work.

Survived another Peloton workout 45 min class. I haven’t done one class 45 min worth in over one month. Waking up to getting straight to the workout for me works. I get to look forward to having coffee, tea, a smoothie whatever I’m feeling AFTER I get the workout done. So I will continue to strive for exercising when I first workout. It is a challenge while trying to fight through a roller coaster of emotions and planning a financial plan for my 2020 fall. I do know I am great full to exercise to take my mind off of the stress.

Happy Monday!!
Yesterday was the day of rest for the week. It took me all day to finally get to the gym. I was planning on a jog/walk outside but the weather just wasn’t working with me. Therefore I kept loosing motivation. The rain finally came down hard in my area so the weather forced me to plan a gym workout.

July was hot!! Still got a lot of jogging in Peloton workouts decreased but still had a pretty productive month while working.
On the work front I ended July with a letter from work that furloughs will happen in October. I will definitely be apart of the furlough for sure because I’m so new to the company 😩 COVID-19 is really putting everyone in tough positions. I am not trying to stress to much as I already am stressing. It is important to try to stay positive and get creative.
As time keeps marching forward it is August 1 a new month to get creative with the workouts. Going to start putting include what I did each session to help others and so I can see my progress. My goal for August include more weight lifting sessions.

June 15. It’s been a few weeks. Still in quarantine from COVID that still exists. There has been a lot going on in the news. No time for me to self reflect on here. Still getting in at least sessions of exercise done. Usually more but last week was rough trying to get myself outside for a jog or upstairs to the gym.
I now have a few weeks till I’m back to work. I am working on making sure at minimum I take 30 min to myself for wellness. Adding the work to my schedule will be a challenge. Back to the weird sleep hours and commuting to work. Commuting to and from work takes a lot of energy. Which can lead to sliding in excuses to skip exercising. Got to stay strong take time for self.
May is almost over and the weather is finally acting like Spring. Workouts in the apartment gym has been continuous. So happy that my building continued to allow use of the gym during quarantine. Since the weather has been nice and I tried one jog/walk outside last week with my friend. She went out of town so I have continued alone. Plus I rarely exercise with anyone else. I feel like I need to work on my endurance to have a better jog with my friend next time. So far this week I got 2 outdoor jog sessions done. Today was a challenging route into the city. A lot of hills in comparison to where to taking my jog to the downtown harbor area. This route was more challenging and mile time was slower. Now I am motivated to make the time better.

Took a few days off from the treadmill. I couldn’t skip another day anymore. Long good exercise session.

C25K Week 3, day 2.
Arnold press 3 sets 15 reps 7.5#
Bent over Single arm row 3 sets 15 reps 7.5#
Standing single leg kick backs 3 sets 20 reps
Daily exercises 100 Squats, Planks 30 sec X 3, Pushups 15-20 reps totaling to 60 reps
Yet another rainy day giving me a hard time to exercise. I’ve been having some knee pain for the past few days. I finally decided to take it easy with the treadmill for a few days. Today was daily body weight exercises and Peloton workout. Still a good workout I just don’t want to loose my endurance I have gained with my jogging. Only taking a few days off from the treadmill. Back on the treadmill by Friday.
Cinco De Mayo!! Cloudy day hopefully the sun breaks later this afternoon. Got the morning workout done on the Peloton. My right knee has been hurting that I’ve been a bit distance from the treadmill.
The workout 2 Peloton classes one class had arms with it too. So happy I did that class because I’m really not a fan of weights.
Happy to have one month under my belt of daily exercise done. I’m feeling stronger just missing my outdoors jogging.
Happy Friday May 1!! It’s a rainy day once again. I woke up didn’t even look out the window to allow the weather to mess up my morning mood. Got the exercise clothes on and went straight to the gym.

Planning on going back later for afternoon weights. I didn’t have the energy because I was up late. Plus I’m still in quarantine so it doesn’t hurt to have something to do later other than sit around watching movies or sleeping this rainy day away.
Rainy Day weather kills my vibe to exercise. It took all day for me to finally get dressed to exercise. I never really got into the mindset to exercise today. Got it done somehow.

C25K Week 3, day 1 the treadmill was harder because I had to increase the jog time. Got it done.
Time to relax. Praying for motivation right when I wake up tomorrow.

Haven’t been motivated to write anything lately. But I have been committed to exercising daily during the quarantine time. Last week in increased my cardio time to 45 minutes or more. Instantly I felt the difference and feeling my strength getting better. I am now on my knees doing 50 pushups daily. I still have to take breaks but the 50 pushups get done.
Tonight was an encore Peloton ride in my gym. My gym is the penthouse in my apartment building so I am great full for the gym to be available.
Should and back dumbbell weight exercises completed before the Peloton cardio session. Tonight was kind of like a recovery day. Tomorrow Hump day long workout session.
Friday Night putting in some hard work! It took me all day to find the motivation to workout today. I kept making all the excuses up in my head why it wasn’t the right time to exercise today. Finally got went upstairs to my gym to sweat it out on the Peloton.

Pushing the cardio workout sessions beyond my comfort level to shed the lbs. Already feeling the hard work paying off. Back to weights tomorrow.
