Last night, we tried to act normal for Audacia’s extended family in Phoenix. We started by making a long list of things about ourselves we would *not* be talking about in the car. Luckily, Audacia’s family are experts in avoidant small talk. Success!

Every good fake town needs a brothel and a funeral home.

Today we went 155 feet underground with some Americans and one Welsh woman, to talk about guns, lawless families and how rocks looked like angels. Oh, and saw this.

This morning we went to the Rothko Chapel, where we bathed ourselves and our objects in darkness. Thank Goddess for silence and ritual.
