tbh you’ll never be able to convince me that humans shouldn’t be spending an inordinate amount of time outside and in the wilderness. this is probably where I’ll find myself agreeing with primmies a lot but I’ve seen it in myself and others how something as simple as a camping trip can be emotionally and socially transformative in a way that you can’t get from Mass society. mass society is fundamentally incapable of filling this hole, this gap, in our needs and then we all wonder why we’re anxious and depressed and how there’s numerous studies showing even taking a 15 min walk in your neighborhood is effective at alleviating the effects of depression

i dont like essentializing humans, but it’s hard to negate this. i myself feel the same way. we have to realize we are animals as well, animals made for certain worlds, certain configurations of living. the fact that we have to teach ourselves this animality (some french thinker said this, idk who) is the sad price we pay for ““““higher thinking”“““. so no, i don’t think humans can tolerate living in concrete cages for too long without suffering the consequences, and a world designed to make them pliable enough to live in concrete cages (ie the world being designed in our decade) is a hell i cannot even imagine what it would look like
