Year 1:
Newleaf
Chasinglight's (56 moons old) previous clan is destroyed in one night via multiple compounding factors. Constant battles from rival clans they were at war with, and twolegs trapping and stealing them away while increasingly encroaching on their territory left them weakened and down in numbers. Then a coordinated attack from an enemy clan led a pack of wild dogs into their camp to wreak havoc from the southwest, while at the same time a forest fire broke out and begins to consume the camp, preventing any escape to the north
Chasinglight goes to Nightkit's mother, who he was close friends with (secretly in love with, but was rejected; never spoke about his feelings after she became mates with someone else), and begs her to run away with him. She refuses and says she'd rather die a warrior than run away in fear. She does ask/beg him to take her newborn kit to at least give him a chance at life
Chasinglight flees with Nightkit (less than 1 moon)
Redpaw (11 moons), the orphaned Apprentice of Nightkit's mother, was running to make sure his mentor was safe when he saw Chasinglight fleeing with her kit as she stepped out to fight, and decided to follow him from a distance
Chasinglight runs to the southeast, far away from the chaos. Not just out of the territory, but out of the entire forest and far away from any of the land or cats they know. He runs for hours and doesn't stop until daybreak, when he's finally far enough away from the danger, and his body gives out on him
As he rests and comforts the crying Nightkit, Redpaw tries to sneak up towards him but is easily caught by his scent. They fight, with Redpaw cursing Chasinglight for his cowardice and wanting to take Nightkit home, refusing to believe that there's no home to go back to. Chasinglight finally convinces him to not take the kit and compromises to at least backtrack a bit and head up to high ground and survey the valley that was once their home
When they crest the ridge of a cliff overlooking the valley and see that the entire section that was their home is now a smoldering ruin, with the fire only continuing to spread to the other clan's territories, Redpaw has no choice but to finally admit his clan is gone
They begin traveling together, looking for a safe home. Chasinglight refuses to call himself a Leader, and Redpaw refuses to see himself as a full Warrior until he is named by a full Leader appointed by Starclan
Leaf-fall
Nightkit (6 moons) becomes Nightpaw and starts being trained by Chasinglight, though it's clear from the beginning that Nightpaw's talents and attention lie elsewhere
Chasinglight (62 moons) gets injured protecting Redpaw (17 moons) and Nightpaw (6 moons). He has a permanent scar on the back of his leg from the incident
Leaf-Bare
They come across a rogue healer who takes them in for 4 months while Chasinglight (66 moons) heals, teaching Nightpaw (10 moons) some of the basics of how to be a Medicine Cat
They leave the rogue and keep travelling

Nightpaw (18 moons) receives a vision from Starclan and meets his mother, being named Nightstripe

Nightstripe (25 moons) finds Ganderpaw (6 moons). He is taken in by the group and becomes Chasinglight's (81 moons) Apprentice

When Chasinglight (89 moons) comes across Icyknoll (65 moons), an injured rogue that the group stops to heal, he joins them afterward when he sees how much they need protection
They continue traveling together

They eventually come across another set of clans and stay with them for a few months to escape some harsh weather. During that time, the leader of the clan names Ganderpaw (27 moons) to Gander???
Redpaw (57 moons) still refuses to be named, as this leader is not HIS leader
The group moves on, as there's not enough space for them to form their own clan and territory there
Year 5:
Greenleaf
While out on a hunting patrol, Chasinglight (121 moons) and Icyknoll (97 moons) come across Murkkit (4 moons) innocently playing in the forest. She was the only kit from an accidental litter that her twolegs couldn't sell, and she slipped out of a hole in their backyard fence while chasing a butterfly. She's taken in by the group
Leaf-fall
Murkkit (6 moons) becomes Murkpaw, and Icyknoll (99 moons) takes her as his Apprentice
Leaf-Bare
Gander??? (51 moons) receives a dream from Starclan and becomes Ganderstar, the new Leader of their clan. At the same time, Nightstripe (70 moons) is given a cryptic prophetic vision of what he interprets to be the hopeful future of their clan, and wakes with a good sense of which direction they need to start heading in to find their new home
Ganderstar's first act as Leader is to name Redpaw (81 moons) Redfleck, in honor of the perseverance he's shown all these years
Murkpaw (10 moons) is in awe of the ceremony

Murkpaw (16 moons) is named Murkmist by Ganderstar (56 moons)
Leaf-Bare
Murkkist (20 moons) finds the orphaned Morningkit (2 moons) while out hunting, huddled next to his mother's body. On the exact same day, Nightstripe (79 moons) finds the orphaned Thymekit (2 moons) while out on an herb-gathering patrol, rolling around in a patch of thyme. Both kits are taken in by the clan

Morningkit (5 moons) and Thymekit (5 moons) sneak away from the group to play and find an abandoned Primrosekit (3 moons) crying out for her mother. They name her after a pretty flower nearby that they recently learned the name of from Nightsripe (82 moons) and play with her a bit to cheer her up, then bring her back to the clan
Morningkit (6 moons) becomes Morningpaw, and is Apprenticed to Ganderstar
Thymekit (6 moons) becomes Thymepaw, and is Apprenticed to Redfleck

Leaf-Bare
At the start of Leaf-Bare, the clan stumbles, starving, into a set of ruins, desperate to find a safe place to rest and wait out an incoming blizzard. They hunker down through the storm
When it's finally over, and they can venture outside again, Nightstripe (93 moons) is amazed to discover that their safe haven is actually the place from his vision 2 years ago. At his advice, Ganderstar (74 moons) decides to claim this set of ruins as their new camp, and officially establish Havenclan, named after the safety they've finally found after all this time
Chasinglight (149 moons) and Icyknoll (125 moons) immediately retire and become Elders, eager to finally slow down and rest after years of being on the move while taking care of all these younger cats

This healer spent the entire season teaching Nightpaw all the ways of being a healer himself, and with both his mentor and Chasinglight's encouragement he decided to work towards becoming a Medicine Cat for the group
When he was 18 moons old, he received a vision from Starclan and met his mother for the first time, where she gave him the name Nightstripe and welcomed him as a Medicine Cat for the group
At 25 moons, finds Ganderpaw wandering the woods and takes him back to be raised by the group
When they come across an injured Icyknoll, Nightstripe spends the entirety of Leaf-Bare healing him like his mentor did for Chasinglight
The next year the group is taken in by a friendly clan for Leaf-Bare, and he learns from their Medicine Cat the traditions, stories, and customs of the clans
Year 5 of traveling, he receives a cryptic prophetic vision on the same night that Ganderstar is visited by Starclan and made the new Leader of their group. He is visited by Starclan and his mother once again, as she showed him a series of visions of events and locations, but also explained that everyone besides Nightstripe and his two travel companions died when the Clan was destroyed. She lets him know that their clan is no more, and whatever future the group is heading towards is one they cannot follow them to
Despite being saddened by her words, he interprets the vision to be the hopeful start and future of their new clan, and wakes with a good sense of which direction they need to start heading in to find their new home
Basically, she told him that their Clan is gone and they have to form a new one, and it won't be connected to their old clan even through Starclan. She also showed him where to go to find a safe home for their new clan
The next year, he finds the orphaned 2-month-old Thymekit while out on an herb-gathering patrol. He names the kit after the patch of thyme he was rolling around in when he was found
The entire group almost dies during a massive storm during Leaf-Bare on their 7th year traveling, and after they find a bunch of ruins to hunker down in, Nightstripe works tirelessly to make sure they all survive
After the storm, Nightstripe is shocked to find out that the ruins they were hiding in are the exact same ones from his dream all those years ago. They decide to stay, and Havenclan is officially founded
