BENJAMIN IS HOME
This has been the greatest week of my life.
Benjamin came home from Uruguay, and we got to watch conference together!! I’m so grateful for the Spirit of conference, for Ben’s mission, and for having such an incredible best friend. The Indianapolis temple was built and dedicated while he was gone, so I hope we’ll get to go to the temple here soon. I am so lucky to this kid in my life and so grateful he’s home.

Change is important, that's true. And as much as you have to work towards change and a goal, things come to those who wait. I'm not good with stories I just don't remember them. But slowly as I continue studying and reading my scriptures I learn and relate to the people in the scriptures. Their history is as real as a what you learn in school (minus the bias so the scriptures are truer (obviously)). Learning happens every day! You're not a failure for not knowing everything. Lovely testimony! &l

Today one of my elders got real with me.
I taught a lesson at FHE and I bore testimony and stuff, and after the lesson he wanted to talk and while we were talking he asked if I ever actually believed anything I taught, or if I just faked it.
And we have a strong relationship so he had every right to say this and I knew that the latter was more correct. Then we talked about testimony and obedience and how those things coincide and you can’t really have one without the other. So from now on I’m gonna try to be more real with my testimony, and learn from experiences of obedience.
Awake, my sons; put on the armor of righteousness. Shake off the chains with which ye are bound, and come forth out of obscurity, and arise from the dust.

I haven't been around for a while but the church is still true, the gospel plays an incredible part in my life and Benjamin comes home in 8 months. So. Yep.

New Years Resolutions:
Read scriptures/pray daily Go to all three meetings at church Go to the temple once a month Go to the Indianapolis temple dedication Other exciting thing: Benjamin comes home this year. You heard me. Ten months. So stoked.
Today is Benjamin’s one-year mark. This is the last text he sent me before he left. Before Shai and Lita got baptized, before I had friends in the YSA, before I began teaching with the missionaries. He is so incredible, and I’m thankful for his encouragement, even from another continent. I am so excited for his second year, and now I can shamelessly start counting down!
(C) keeps coming back to my head that maybe one day it will actually happen? I keep trying to stop thinking like this and stuff but then!!! I think like that again! I have the biggest crush on this annoying jerk! Idk I'm 16 and I feel so guilty for liking him but then! I care about him AND his family and what?? Idk anyways little rant over. I can't believe it's already been a year for Ben! That's wonderful! I hope you're happy and I think you're very beautiful!

Because he's been on his mission for almost a year now! Time has gone by so slow and yet SO fast. It's crazy to think that a year from today I will be preparing for his homecoming.
In honor of me thinking about these things, have some pictures from Benjamin!
I'll post another with more photos, just catching up. I miss this kid immensely but I love hearing about his service and watching his testimony grow, and I can't wait to have him home in a year.

Umm, well, I'm not really in a position to tell you what to do. You have your own agency. But I strongly advise speaking with your bishop. Write out a schedule and stick to it. Don't give yourself too much idle time for your mind to wander. Limit your time on the computer. Exercise regularly. Balance your chemicals by taking care of your body. Your bishop is the man to go to for the spiritual healing, but this is what I've found to be effective in kicking the habit.

On Friday my best friend was sealed in the Salt Lake temple. I know that her family will be together forever and that she and her husband are one step closer to eternal happiness.
