One week ago
Last week, at this time, I was headed home from this adventure. I have had the opportunity to reflect and share many of the stories that occured, this past week. I miss the city and do really hope for another opportunity to perform there again!

Waiting for Waiting for Godot, a comedy about life on stage, was one of the three winners of the New York International Fringe Overall Play Excellence Awards, and Gertrude Stein Saints!, which turn...
As presented by NYTimes.
Out of 200 Shows, 40 Professional Productions, we are one of the top 4 Ensembles... So proud!
Day 8 Show 5- recap. Well this is this and that is that. I cannot believe how fast this week flew by. And it is both sad and relief that this whirlwind of a journey is over. This has been one of the greatest adventures I have ever been on, and it has reminded me of why I do what I do. I saw so many friends, met some great people, talked with some working professionals and was starstruck a couple of times. I am so proud of my students, and so thankful for the opportunities that have been made possible. The show today was very smooth. I really felt more and more comfortable and having 3 shows back to back, really helped me find a groove. But what was ultra special was being here for their final performance of a remarkable year and a half run. This ensemble has put their heart and soul into this project and they never took it for granted. Each show was a new beginning for them and they approached each with a new energy and focus, never settling, never getting comfortable. It was an experience just to be a part of, and I can count my blessings. So now it's back to the grind, to my current students, and to my family, who have supported me every step of the way. And with this done, the focus becomes Jacob Marley. I cannot thank James and Aimee enough for their hospitality and generosity. I am not sure how things would have been if it had not been for them, but everything happens for a reason. I do wish I could have gotten more people up to share the experiences with me. But, life has its own curveballs that we deal with. Thank you for your support and for following this blog. I am sure if anything else comes up from this that I will post here. Keep focus on your dreams, play nice, and be grateful for every opportunity that is presented to you, and at some point, if you are persistent, it will all pay off. It may not be when you want it, but it will be happen when the time is right.
Places. Part 2
5 minutes to go. Last show. So bittersweet. These are some of the best people I have had the privilege to work with.

I forgot, I snuck a clip of the opening song today at the show! Don't tell 😛
Day 7 Show 4- Wrap up. I am so glad I documented this trip. I would have already forgotten everything that has happened. I cannot believe a week has flown by as fast as this one has. Today was just another memory filled day. Started with an amazing brunch at a bistro in Jersey City. From which I rushed to the train to get to the city in time for our 3pm show. The show, overall was great. There were many kids in the audience and they enjoyed it. I had a couple of slips in my song but I think I didn't mess up the finale dance which I am so thankful for. One of the days highlights came when I snapped a picture for SIP which is a photoblog Broadway world does for shows, and its something that I have always hoped to be a part of, and today, on a whim I did one and tweeted it, and it was one of the ones selected. I posted a link on the previous blog. Check it out! Im the 5th one down. After the show, the cast lugged the set pieces uptown, via subway, which proved to be an adventure in itself. I met James and Stacy afterwards and played the lottery to get Matilda tickets, which proved to be unsuccessful. James and I had dinner at a Cajun place and then headed back to Jersey where we met Aimee at a place called Surf City. Complete with sand, beach chairs, and docks, it was an amazing way to end the week. I will post a final wrap tomorrow, but my mind is just a buzz with so many thoughts and fond memories from this past week. But there is still one final performance at noon tomorrow, and an early train to catch to get back home, so until next post...
5th picture down! I'm still in amazement I made it. Never thought I'd get a chance!
Show #4... Warm-ups.
Day 6/ Show 3 recap. It was a good day. Started and ended with great conversation with my "roomies" and sandwiched in there was a show, visits with more former students and a whole lot of walking. I managed to get to the theater in good time, complete with a chocolate milk, and was even able to run my number and actually get levels to where they really worked for me. Thom seemed pleased, and that made me happy. I even have become comfortable enough to play around with my objective and change delivery on some things, making he character have more depth. Even added some filler in between verses, which I was nervous about, but comfortable enough with myself and the cast that they won't leave me hanging. The crowd was delightful with many children to play to which helps, immensely. It amazes me just how fast time is flying as i bought my return train ticket this morning. Following the show, I hung out with Renee (the youngun) of the group until her rents picked her up, which didn't happen, so chivalry took charged and I walked her a good mile + to their apartment. Which is on Orchard st., a very interesting, ghost walk area of town. Those of you who remember the gray lady, that pic is for you. I headed back uptown, grabbed another nutella at the bean (i am addicted) to kill a little time before meeting Tara and getting the lo-down on Tisch. It was great because Tara was the third cats cast member I have met up here. We sat in a little bistro, and after a walk, she headed uptown and i jersey side. The rest of the night, i pretty much stayed in. Aimee came back first so we enjoyed episodes of the new girl, a glass of wine and excellent british conversations, until James came in. And we ended up reminiscing and sharing stories, something they just doesn't get old. I talked to family tonight, spent hours going through James original cast recordings, which will get burned before I leave, and taking a load off my feet. Plans are for a brunch and me o take a ferry across the harbor. Hope i get up in time. Hope all of you had a great week at school. See you soon. Only 2 shows left!
