Teflon Don

I find it ironic when people defend Floyd Mayweather for his boring style and tendency to not stay in one place, or ‘run’ if you will.  The response is the always reliable ‘you don’t know shit about boxing.’  The Sweet Science is after all ‘hit and don’t get hit.’  The ironic part is that there are many forms of defense like using head movement in close quarters.  It’s defense to setup offense, not defense to avoid being hit. 

So when I see the ‘you don’t know shit about boxing’ line being regurgitated by every expert on social media, they’re really telling me more about their knowledge of the sport than anything else.

Floyd’s style just isn’t my cup of tea. Everyone on the planet would jump at a shot to fight the self anointed ‘Best Ever’, because you don’t get beat up and you collect a fat check.  Easy money.
