Probably only once in my life, will I get to ask the question "and which wine do you most recommended to pair with the #fruitbat?" However ghastly you might possibly consider the notion of eating bat, it was nevertheless quite palatable - sort of like gamey chicken - not dissimilar to eating half a dozen baby rabbits, I expect: lots of messy pickings and a pile of bones with fishrib sized chokers a-plenty amongst. I shall not be ordering the fruitbat again, as it spoiled Ms. Freeman's appetite for her lovely blackened whitefish.
