When I was looking through the GF wiki, I found the approximate ages of Sonny, Corso, Bennett, and Artie and made a headcanon out of that when they joined the pirates. If my math calculations are correct, Sonny joined the pirates when he was about 25 years old (Corso is 2 years older than Sonny, by the way). My headcanon is that Corso joined the pirates first, and when Sonny joined, Corso was assigned to watch over him. (You could say that was the beginning of their friendship.) Some time later, the two of them planned how to overthrow Magnus. (Which makes me wonder what kind of wild shit Magnus did that Sonny and Corso decided he needed to be overthrown.) I had a little problem with Bennett because wiki tells me that in season 1 he was 31 years old, which would mean that when there was an icy BOOM on Akilian, Bennett was about 16 years old. My guess is that Corso and Bennett somehow knew each other before Corso joined the pirates. (Because otherwise I'd have a hard time understanding how Bennett became third in command so quickly, and I feel like that position requires a lot of trust.) Plus, my headcanon is that Bennett joined after Sonny became the leader of the pirates and maybe on some mission, Corso and Sonny saved Bennett from something (most likely a technoid) and that's why Bennett joined the pirates. Now it's time for Artie (the wiki says he's 25 in Season 1). My headcanon is that Artie joined the pirates when he was around 21. I don't know why yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if Artie joined the pirates because he just wanted to. (He saw how cool they are and thought, "I want to be one too") By the way, I did a small comic (you can see when I was tired of making it):

Now we go back to my AU where Stevens is Sonny's adopted son. Considering that Stevens was a pirate from childhood and was raised under the watchful eye of Sonny and Corso. Plus, Stevens most likely proved to others more than once that he was a good leader. Stevens, at a fairly young age, gained a certain amount of authority, and most novice and low-tier hierarchy pirates had to obey his orders.

Of course, when Artie joined the pirates, he didn't know that the person in charge of him was some 15-year-old who could kick his ass at any moment if he wanted to. In my AU, Artie didn't learn Stevens' real age until a few weeks after joining the pirates. And it took him at least a few more days to find out Stevens was Sonny's (and Corso's) kid. Bonus: When Stevens was little, and Corso and Sonny didn't have time to take care of him (because they were on some mission), Bennett was Stevens' babysitter.

Considering we don't really know what Stevens looks like without his mask, this is my concept art of what he could look like. I gave him a scar near his mouth because I thought it would give him some character. I'm not sure yet what the backstory of this scar would be, but it's probably something related to a pirate mission.

I just know Aarch's stupid ass stayed there until Dame Simbai forcibly kicked him out to take some rest. I swear, little me who watched Galactik Football Season 2 Episode 14 and saw Aarch save Artegor, woke something up inside me.

I have a little headcanon where Aarch regrets leaving Artegor alone the first time they were on The Shadows team. (Of course, Aarch makes a good move to leave this toxic situation, but that doesn't mean Aarch doesn't feel guilty.) Bonus: Aarch's stupid honkers are the only thing that can distract Artegor Headcanon

I think I've realized now that Artegor and Norata didn't have any scenes together in the series at all, which is a bit sad considering they were on the same team before Akillian became an Ice Age.

These two scream drama queen to me, so an interaction between them would be really interesting if it ever appeared.
