This is why teachers are scared. Can you blame them?
Yeah. It's the same in my part of the planet... And ever since the schools re-opened, the infection rate - in schools and everywhere else - has predictably, shot through the roof.
It is beyond comprehension that the idiots in charge insist that going back to school is more important - to the development of children - than containing this fukken plague.
The same kids being orphaned and, otherwise negatively impacted from being forced to watch people around them drop like flies. Knowing that they may have been the one to bring the virus home...
It's a fukken inhumane disgrace.
My little area of my part of my country (not the US) is handling this quite well. People are wearing masks, washing their hands, using sanitizer, social distancing, they are taking this seriously. As a result we will go a week or two without new cases and then have a few new ones (all travel related to outside the area) and then a few days without and so on and so forth. As of right now, we have less than 10 active cases in the entire province. And I am still concerned about my kids going back to school in the fall. Kids are gross little creatures. They "forget” to wash their hands. They cough and sneeze all over the place without covering their mouth.
I understand why it’s important to get back to school. I am sure my kids school will do everything they can to keep the kids safe. It is a smaller school and it will be easier to keep them isolated. And yet...I am still so concerned. I couldn’t imagine even considering sending them back if we lived in the US.
