Old cos nun!hotpants
I'm excited about sbr! although its still in batches
Me when I found out EVERYTHING IS ROTATING in the UNIVERSE
This is so memeable. It's like Giorno holding the arrow.
Stranger than heaven reminded me about the media I've watched back in 2024.
I was reminded of it because of the Vaudeville scenes and the thing about pushing off people cause they're mixed.
It's technically a circular story about friends Filipinos, filipino-American and Japanese who are caught during the Japanese invasion in historyof the Philippines.
It's very serious story (it includes brutal stuff, the condemnation against people no matter what nationality they have and the abuse of power and abuse against children and women which happened in history) still of course lighting the feelings of each characters between the characters in the story.
This have English sub btw.
https://youtu.be/MKB7n6jsduI?si=d1ZCKp9fzUjw05Py
It doesn't actually alienates the good japanese people who lived in the Philippines during those times too btw before you started spewing out accusations. It also shown the bad side too. And doesn't also pushes aside the things any of nationality have done. It's sorta like more than from what country they're born with and bloodline came from but who they are as a person.
This is just one scene.
This technically have both sides perspective on the good and bad people no matter what nationality it is. How people were forced to deal with things they don't want to do. You can watch it on Netflix and YouTube too.
GUYS WE DID IT WE FOUND THE JOJO LION
Of course Leone Abbacchio is missing in action in JoJolands. We gotta get than man back in any form.

Liking about fictional characters these days is too much of an issue.
It's as if it there's an immediate assumption is that these characters are reflection on what the person likes in real life which in reality it isn't all truly true for some.
Its like for these people "you like this character β you are this character β you do what they do." Its like they compressed the complex thing to simple terms that doesn't give off what it really is. Its oversimplifying the complexity of a real person.
I personally like Funny Valentine as a character though admittingly he did the extreme just to achieve his goal even crossing borders with morality, ethics and even his humanity. The same with Dio, Diavolo, Kars, Giorno, Rohan and the other characters I like.
I like that thing to do anything to reach my dream but I also respect boundaries and such. But I also want to point out just because I like the character doesn't mean I condone ALL of their ways of thinking. I think that's the difference.
It would remove and disrespect the free will, the individual self I have and disrespect all the people that surrounds me, if I condone it and disappear to that fantasy. And truth be told following blindly these things and remove critical thinking, moral perspective and over all the human side of me to question, and make MY OWN DECISION.
And to add the fact that those fictional scenarios exactly are things shows what happens if people doesn't use their OWN critical thinking, moral and ethical thinking. Reading about a serial kller isn't equal to automatically making you a serial killer right? Let's put it this way. You've read the golden wind right? When giorno became the boss or attacked somebody did that automatically makes you him? Oh if somebody like Jodio or like Walter White does that mean they wanted to be a running criminal or you know what. Or like when people like Hannibal does that mean they want or are cannibals? Oh yeah but when these characters are overly pure, morally gray and have simple ambition people just suddenly oh it's fine. That's just simplifying something a human with a brain can think.
It's quite bizarre to me how in these days liking or loving a character is just condensed to "Oh that's you. Oh you condone shit they did."
I think that is just being immature and removing yourself to look on the perspectives of the person, analize the situation and such things.
I know its the scary feeling of the humans around us and the crazy what ifs if the person we interacted with have done something strange but can those people just keep those assumptions to themselves if they correlate fiction and non fiction so abruptly without critical thinking?
Its sorta like you fear something that you don't understand because the truth is we all have different experiences. Yes, fiction can and could influence people potentially. But these people HAVE THEIR OWN BRAINS, THOUGHTS AND VIEWS. Its not simply point out that fictional character is what the WHOLELY EMBODY OR BELIEVES IN.
I may appreciate these villains conviction, intelligence and his whole willingness to achive his vision and dreams but I do reject his methods and even his moral perspectives.
This is a choice and exercising my own decision making skills and being concious about myself and people around me. I am not a puppet of fictional works and not passively reading and absorbing ANYTHING I just encounter with whether it is in fictional works or the mistakes in history. When I like a character I'm not straight up endorsing shit they did or do in the plot or story.
And most important thing to point out that even if it influenced somebody it doesn't mean that they would do it without aknowledging and knowing to themselves or concious about it and have the determination or immediately behave like that and do such acts. Its not "they like this character -> they are this irl and this is what they think -> they will do shit like that too". Its just the way you project how you actually think about people and how you really engage with anime, novels or any media really like saying "this is how I think about fiction, so this is probably how they also engage with fiction. Yeah I think we have the same way of thinking." Which is just generalization about things you don't know and can't imagine that everyone have unique way of processing fiction in their heads differently than they do and just immediately projecting stuff.
Much like this, I don't think like you and you (people who thinks liking fictional character is equal to reality) don't think like me.
Much like when reading morally good stuff lets say it influenced you, but if you dont have that will or determination to do such things you could choose or do the opposite of it or something different. To add to that is its true that fiction can give or introduce us some ideas and perspectives that are unfamiliar or something new and it might shape how we think about somethings we encounter, experience or like stuff. But that doesn't mean that exposure means we are adopting the similar ideals, thoughts, decisions, ethical and moral view. It doesn't go "oh I'll do this too" where it does require conscious thinking and go back and forth to the decision and a lot of examination and not just purely absorbing them uncritically. We are concious beings.
I also want to state the fact that although those what I said is true I do see some cases where some media preferences might actually be a sign but that automatically doesn't mean it is a true evidence of such things and if we don't have real evidences its just compressing things and assuming things. If these people did something to real people such as justifying any harm against others then that's worth noticing but liking the character alone tells you nothing. And it's highly different from "liking a character" and "identifying as the character itself" no? Its not 'you like this character, so you identify with him, so you are him." That doesn't makes sense.
"Bad" characters doesn't create MORAL and ETHICAL people and neither the "pure good" characters create a compelling PURE moral and ethical person too but lets admit any of these can happen too. I think that this fear and lack of trust that a person has on the other person TO THINK for themselves just because they are another person too is also at fault thats why some people jump to correlating something. Like they're thinking that people who likes fictional characters are incapable of critical thinking and filtering out the things they do not want to adapt in real life and again assuming that the other people that surrounds them are just passively accepting things or whaever they consume than thinking of a human being who evaluates and have a critical thinking and a freewill to choose what is their personal choice on things. Different people engage with these media in ways that are always based on their own values, experiences, and critical thinking. Assuming everyone processes fiction identically is just simplification of how complex humans are. You know literary or media preference might show a person's real struggle or personal thoughts of a person but it'll be worth looking at if these people have shown some in real life behaviors that disrupts human relationships and harming people. But then again correlation isn't an evidence and correlation isn't causation. (I remember my research teachers told me that). And if we don't have evidence of real world harm unless of course it is shown through online DMs and post commentaries that are disturbing (the sexualization or a real life person or harrassing a real life person, assuming someone who likes a character they enjoy or do this in real life or how they interact with people online is just simplification of the complex thing. If you're going to judge someone, use real evidences, and not just spit out an accussation out fear. And most importantly, please please please respect that people think differently than you do.
Netflix should give more orchestra budget to JoJo. (If they're the one who gives budget to OST or something). I need that shit full on instrumental like the the Stardust Crusaders live performance. Give that man some good shit to shred on. Give than man some SAXOPHONE.GIVE THAT MAN SOME LIVE CHOIR. Give Yugo Kanno live orchestra.
I'm a musician. I cannot say for sure or maybe it's just me the Jolyne theme and Steel Ball Run (some parts) some instruments are quite quiet than of Golden Wind and other themes although there are some parts that are loud enough to hear the instruments that supports the main stuff. Though I think aside from the repeating notes of the former themes that made it iconic are the crisp sounding musical instruments that also doesn't drown out the singer or voice. I am also surprised that the parts that inspired by Stone Ocean in the SBR theme are quite clear. Though the SBR also have taken an inspiration on Jonathan's theme his theme truly blended well. I also thought he's going to add more choir thingy in there.
I also want to say when he mashed Jolyne's theme with other themes live when they launched Stone Ocean in Netflix and to be honest those overpowered Jolyne's theme despite Jolyne's theme being easily identifiable. Yes I do think Jolyne's theme is easily identifiable cause it's highly different from the predecessor themes much like Jonathan's theme is which is honestly unique and fits the character, setting and other factors.
I think the only way to appreciate Jolyne's theme and Steel Ball Run theme if you want to absorb the gravity and punch of the song is through headphones meanwhile you can listen to Giorno's and Jotaro's theme even without it and feel it still.
I think that's what I think it is.
I really don't mind it though like I adjust and wear headphones to appreciate it better. And maybe I was just surprised at the sudden change too. Also like you know expectations and such.
This is not a hate driven thing it was really out of surprise to the changes. I know you guys misinterpret a lot. Also I'm not much of authority. I don't even have control on JoJo series itself. So please don't take this that I want them to change and rerecord those again. I just wanna put this thought out.
I'm not a Rohan fan. I just like him a lot.
Unfortunately Abbachio became a tsun
Is it really hard to get a v-gen code?
I'm thinking about applying

I hate redraws. I hate using references at is. I also wanted to add twists or something and not just that or aside from that. I don't want to use reference as it is. That's why I use less of it now recently. This is just for people who likes it. I could draw more of it honestly but it feels me less of an artist and just a copy. I know inspiration and reference are highly different and the use of it is complex. Not that I view others who does that the same its more like a personal view on myself with a mirror. Like artist's self insecurity. (Its just my mindless thoughts in my head do not let it affect yours or others. Also don't use it against other artist. I know some of you make things always an issue and mistake it some kind of against or pro. With my broken 2nd/3rd language english you might misinterepret words too.) Sorry about my ramblings.
yes nung pandemic pa to hahahha and I have a different username that time. The pose is based from an illustration from JoJolion with Daiya Higashikata (I drew something similar to that pose and drew it on my sketch pad and made it into a digital art using ibis paint then colored it on medibang). I got lazy coloring (I'm not actually gotten lazy I just have a commission needed to be done)
una at natatanging deboto ni Giorno
Something I personally liked other than JoJo are historical dramas/telenovelas if you will.
This have eng subs btw.
This is like sbr but like different. Everyone has motives but they are just placed in a war situation (which really happened) and somehow other people doesn't leave people on just one side of the war. And that in a war there's no winning side, everyone gets damanged and destroyed.
Another suggestion btw is like timetravel but like a reader inserted to a book (which is btw really a book that exists you can find it: Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo) It's like a fanfiction insert btw if you like it. You can see it.
crazy that the two best jojo parts with the best mcs both got fumbled by netflix π
The contract agreement between production (technically it's more than that like internal management on animation, investors and stuff) and Netflix even the research team of both sides failed them. And that's just probably but most likely on contracts though. But like considering how the animation industry releases episode while they're still working on it's animation is also a probability to consider while theyre releasing those episodes and reworks on Blu-ray editions... But considering that Netflix is a streaming site that has like a semi permanent uploads they're looking over passable quality + speed than of passable speed > quality or speed and quality being equal.
And that's on well never know the truth.

I don't like how some people paint their writers/authors ignorant of the series production or like the adaptation of their manga series.
It's being ignorant on the contracts and non disclosure agreements these creatives have to shimmy on. SOME writers ( not all writers/creatives -read it again) doesn't even have their authority on their work after signing some publishing contract like the adaptation of their series isn't their own so most of these creatives starts up their own business or production company and registers their own works on their own name.
Again, not all writers have their own work the things they brainstorm on at their hands.
BUT do not solely blame the publisher or even the editors too just cause they have rights (if that's why the author signed). Or like not soley blame the company or the writer of the game cause they got out of the company.
Why would they sign such contract?
Opportunities to see their series fully realized. Money cause why not benefit from their own skills and live at least a better life than before. For their family. And other things.. Like variety of things. Some selfish, and some aren't. Take note "SOME"
Having legit contracts from companies that are fully established are rare. Applying for a contract is also though too.
Mind you some of these contracts have variety of stuff inlike: submission time of chapters, allowed number of words in chapter/book, just one series or just one book only, etc... Some even have somewhere along the lines of theyre not allowed to talk about the series etc.
You might think that a creative person in a creative industry have all the capacity to just do things they want. It's not.
You do know that there are a lot of process that is needed to be done before it adaptation.
Studios, people under a different flow of systems under a management, actors/voice actors, animators, management team, the investors/share holders, talent agencies, social media management team, the financial team, research team... Etc. And of course contracts.
It's like a school project but with much more wider web of people involved. These people have jobs and have a life outside of work. Theyre not 100% gonna clock in at work 24 hours from Sunday to Monday.
Of course complaining is a way to voice out what we feel as a fans. It is necessary to show that there are audiences to the series. In the end though all of it comes down to all the people who have rights to create the adaptations.
If they'll listen.
