Anxiety is not an item, itâs an illness #MentalHealthMatters
Change: A Difficult Situation?
Everybody experiences some sort of change in their lives whether it be a small change or big and we all deal with it in different ways.
I am writing this post because I am currently applying for collages as I will be going to college next year and this idea of âchangeâ has been on my mind ever since. I donât know how it will be for me but as a very anxious 15 year old, I believe I will have some struggles, which Iâm sure I will come to terms with during my time at college.Â
We see change as a bad thing most of the time but sometimes change can be good. Sometimes we donât even pay attention to these things but one day it hits us and we donât know how to deal with it. So what do we do?Â
Here are my top 5 tipâs on how to deal with change and difficult situations:
1. Replace your negative thoughts with positive ones: If we think about things positively then we have no time to worry about the negatives.
2. Talk to some one about it so they can reassure you that things will be okay, and to emphasis tip number one. In situation where you feel you donât know what to do, talk to someone whether it be your friends, family or even teachers just to make at least one person aware of your situation so they can look out for you. There has got to be one person who is willing to listen and even someone who can relate to your situation or just offer you support.
3. Do things which you enjoy to avoid thinking too much about the situation because maybe youâre just overthinking. Take a step back and go out and do things that will make you feel good and give you a little bit of a motivation boost.
4. Watch Youtubers. There is bound to be a Youtuber out there who has made a video about their experiences with change. I know that for a fact because I watch a lot of Youtubers.Â
5. Write it down: This way it is off your chest and you can finally breathe. You could even read over your writing after a couple of days to come up with a sort of action plan on how you will approach the situation. Maybe you could show it to someone to make tip 2 easier for you to explain how your feeling because sometimes, itâs hard to get your point across.
Now you can relax.
Sometimes things seem more complicated than they may actually be. Donât ever give up on yourself; be YOU because YOU are great.
Keep smiling because itâs inspiring,
Tibby, the anxious dreamer.Â

'What do you want to be?â
'What do you want to be?'
I want to be successful. I want to finish school and go to college and do my a levels and then hopefully go to uni and get a degree. I also want to do photography and travel the world because I think its beautiful, calming and makes me feel good. And like every other person, I want a good job, a nice car and house and even get married one day. I want to enjoy life and live it to the fullest everyday.
I also want to be skinny. I want to be beautiful. I want to be like very other girl out there. I want to be confident. I don't want to struggle out of bed everyday. I don't want to cry everyday for no reason. I want to make changes to myself, to my appearance but I'm afraid. I'm afraid of being judged. I'm judged for who I already am and I'm going to be judged for who I want to become. Here I am starving myself for what? Because I want to lose weight
even though I'm close enough to being classed as 'underweight'.
Here I am staring at Myself in the mirror everyday wanting to be someone...Someone made a comment on my appearance once, that someone talked about me to her friend, talked about the way I looked. At first this comment hurt me like a pile of tumbling stones.
'Sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never harm Me'
But then I though to Myself...someone is always going to judge Me but I'm not going to use their judgement as something that will depend on the rest of My life, I'm going to use it to make Me stronger. I'm going to use it to become Me because if I step into reality, I don't want to be like other people, I want to be Me. I want to be Unique.
Each and Every person in this world is Unique. Each and Every person has a Talent, has an Ability of some sort which builds up this world. Everyone is different and I want to be Me. Thank you to Everyone that has ever put Me down because you have finally put a meaning to these words and thank you to everyone who has come along with Me on this journey. Guys, be proud of who You are because Each and Everyone of You brings something to this world and You are all amazing, don't let anyone tell You different.Â

Am I pretty enough? Am I skinny enough? Do I wear the right clothes? Do I say the right things? Are my shoes okay? Do they match my outfit? Does my hair look okay? Am I okay? One thing that I found most common in people that have reached out to me is confidence, where is it? What is it? What is this idea of self-assurance and where can I get it? Many of us struggle with confidence issues every single day. We have these impossible standards we think we need to live up to: âAm I skinny enough? Am I pretty enough? Am I saying the right things? Am I hanging out with the correct people?â And I have one question: who cares? People ask me âWhere can I find self-confidence? How can I build myself up?â You can do this and you can find this, by caring about one thing: yourself. We find confidence when we stop caring about what other people think. Society and people in general have given each other such high expectations in any aspect of life, in our love life, in our appearance, in our jobs, school expectations, grades, starting out young⌠My most common question is how do I find confidence. You find it when you find yourself, and that is one thing that Iâm certain about. And it does not come easy, but it does come. We live in a world where âsticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt meâ but thatâs not true, scars may heal but words are constantly hurting. Weâre constantly replaying these words over and over: âyouâre fat, youâre ugly, youâre not worth itâ; and thereâs nobody to tell us these arenât true. All we see is a missed guided representation, a reflection of these words, and Iâm here to tell you, male, female, thirteen, eighty seven, to be confident and find yourself, find your own self-worth, find your own definition of who you are. Because when you find out who you are, thatâs what matters, not what other people think about you. It may be hard, when youâre constantly being torn out, day after day, and people are telling you itâs just words. You have to be strong, you have to realise that the only way youâre gonna find confidence is if you just donât care what people think about you because who cares? The only thing you should care about is yourself. Care enough to think that you are worth it and you are confident, because you are attractive enough, you are worth enough. Confidence is not for the pretty, confidence is not for the talented, the rich, the popular, confidence is for you. Be confident in who you are, âcause you only have one life to live, you are only given one chance, one opportunity to be one person and that is yourself. Donât let what anybody thinks of you tear you down, be confident in what you do, do it for you and not for anybody else, and then you will find confidence, I promise you this. Love yourself. Whatever life has thrown at you, just know you can come back from it and smile. Confidence is what you make it, confidence is who you are. You have to believe you are worth it, because you are. If youâre not smiling, youâre doing it wrong.
