Nomadic life
After all, the day had came when i had to leave delhi again. Although i don’t want to but sometimes in life you have to do the things which you don’t like. For a person like me who had been shifting all his luggage sixth time, it could never be an exciting affair. Eventually with full reluctance i did my packing and finally boarded towards my hometown. As expected it was a warm and delight welcome by the family members. Although it was an enjoyable moment but the twist was that i had to move again within few days to my next destination. which is near pune. therefore my overall reaction was ambivalent
After an enjoyable time spending with my family finally i boarded towards my new destination. The place was new for me; So little bit attractiveness was there. A whole new world was waiting for me. At last i reached to my destination. The journey was via train.(If you ever traveled the train than you would have realised that it is place where you will find different people with very different lifestyles) so after reaching to nagar, maharashtra. One thing i knew was that there is a lot to learn here.
The Great Smog Of Delhi
Some of you might be afraid over the selection of this title because it reminds us, the great smog of London, which happened in 1952 and caused over 12000 deaths. So what was it that forced me to choose this scary title? Well ! The seriousness of this event(Delhi smog) can easily be understood if you look at the current scenario. The air pollution event in New delhi and its adjoining area in this november, halts the daily life of its citizens literally. The amount of particulate matter(PM) 2.5 and PM 10 was at its peak. It has been reported as one of the worst level of air quality in new delhi, since 1999.
So after knowing the severity of the situations, the question might arise in your mind that what we can do about this. Well friends; the answer lies in the problem itself or more precisely the attitude towards the problem. We should have to change our attitude of ignorance, because the problem has now reached the level that the government alone cannot face it therefore it is now necessary that we too will face it equally. Here are some suggestions which can improve the conditions.
The first thing that comes to our mind is that we should raise our voices against the crisis. YES! you are right. In the age of internet within a fraction of time, you will reach to an audience of hundreds of thousands, so my friends every voice counts in a democratic system. People are the real king,if united.
If you finding yourself in trouble for a new beginning, here comes the civil societies, there are number of initiative going on;Just go and support like i did.
let’s talk now the most important suggestion which is, I believe, solely depends on you. Yes, you heard it right .It is your commitment to resolve the problems; how hard you can go to change the situations or how long you are willing to sacrifice your sheer indolence for the sake of your own future, but sadly when its come to us, we start ignoring the things, no matter how hazardous it will be. So Here we are with some questions, which will follows us, unless we will be ready for a showdown.
Are we ready to give preference to options which are environmental friendly?
Are we ready to use public transport instead of personal vehicle?
Are we ready to wait a minute extra for electric rikhsha instead of combustion engines autos?
Are we ready to use efficiently our few remaining resources ?
SO ARE WE READY, BECAUSE IF WE WILL NOT, NO ONE CAN !!!
