Without thinking about it, what is the first thing that summer brings to your mind? Is it a food or a thing to do?

Well, watermelon was honestly the first thing that popped into my head but it could be because I'm currently shoving my face full of watermelon. Though what's more summer than cold watermelon with a little bit of tajín on it? But I'm not shocked that food would be the first thing that pops into my head, because food reminds me of everything. I really love food. What about you though? What's the first thing that summer brings to your mind?

do you have a film or show you watched so much as a child, it practically stepped in as another parent to raise you? because that’s the exact relationship i had with the matrix, and i wanted nothing more in my young life than to be like neo. watching it still has the same effect on me even in adulthood, spurring on the need to wear leather and black trench coats. the sweltering temperatures we have in the uk don’t exactly lend to that being the most comfortable attire, but i’ve never let a little weather get in the way of childhood whimsy. so if you see me stalking around london, covered from head to toe in black, i promise that i haven’t lost my mind. i’m just trying to impress my younger self all these years later. @limelightblvdstarters

I feel like saying this is going to make me sound so lame, but Little House on the Prairie pretty much was like a parent to me and raised me as a child. Anytime my mom or dad needed a minute or wanted me to just leave them alone because I was being "too much," they'd set me down and put on Little House on the Prairie. I was so upset that I couldn't go back in time and live like the Ingalls family, I remember one time crying about it. My mom did her best to calm me down and remind me of all the things I wouldn't have if I went back in time and lived like an Ingalls, but it was still heartbreaking to me. I did dress up as Laura a few times for Halloween, though, so that was fun! Do you think people would think I was odd if I started to try and bring back "prairie" dresses? If you're lucky enough to get to wear head to toe black for your Matrix style, I feel like I should be lucky enough too. If you spot me out and about in gingham and a bonnet, I might have lost my mind a little.
