March 14th has come again, so here is another E.M.U post! This time it's a double-feature with the E.M.U Tour Making Special and Another Side of E.M.U.

E.M.U Tour Making Special shows the behind the scenes workings of the group, footage of their various concerts, and a music video for their song "PhantoM". Another Side of E.M.U, considered a sequel to it, also shows behind the scenes footage, but is set to the E.M.U Remix CD tracks.

Slight warning: Another Side of E.M.U tends to go a bit crazy with the video effects in some scenes. So make sure to watch in a well-lit room and not too close to the screen. While nothing really dangerous, it can make your eyes hurt at times XD.

Summer has arrived! So here is the "Summer Spinoff Special" post that I mentioned I'd be doing last March. As the title suggests, this post involves the GIZOKU franchise, the official spinoff of Sotsugyou M. Specifically this post is for their music album and their last live show. The downloads also come with scans of the VHS cover and the CD booklet.

The group consists of characters Natsuki Hamashima (Kisho Taniyama), Kikunosuke Shiratori (Hideki Tasaka), Goro Tadanov (Hisayoshi Suganuma), Subaru Akaboshi (Yusuke Itoh (1st VA), Anri Katsu (2nd VA)) and Ryota Nango (Masaki Horiuchi).

While a spinoff of Sotsugyou M, it takes place within the same universe, with them going to the same school as the M boys, M being 3rd year seniors and GIZOKU being 1st years. Both sets of characters had quite a few crossover drama CDs. The characters themselves are a group of thieves with special abilities, with their debut drama CD having them be hired by student council president Kusanagi to steal important items from the M boys. Just like with Sotsugyou M having different names for the character group (M) and the voice actor group (E.M.U), the same applies to this spinoff. The character group is referred to as GIZOKU (Ghee-zoh-kuu), while the voice acting group is G.I.zoku (pronounced as letters "G", "I" and then "zoh-kuu").

It's March 14, which means it's that time of year again: E.M.U Posting Day!!

So here is the home video release of one of E.M.U's concerts from their Equal Live Tour, which was held at the Nippon Seinenkan Convention Center on January 15th, 1997.

I've been meaning to get the scans of the Tokyo Mew Mew New Blu-rays done for a while now. However, cleaning the front and back cover of the booklets was too big of a hurdle. Due to the gradient coloring and the patterns, it was pretty much impossible for me to remove the creases. So I would like to give a big shoutout to @wotcherangie for doing that for me. I wouldn't have been able to finish cleaning these scans without her. Be sure to check out her blog and all of her great artwork X3.

Blue Knight and Deep Blue make up the final pair of this palette swap side-project!

The most notable changes between these two, and the hardest thing for me to color in, was their hair. The Blue Knight was given a different colored outline for his hair compared to the rest of his design in New. Deep Blue didn't have highlights in the 2002 anime but had them in New, so I had to add those into the 2002 anime frames from scratch.

Overall, it was a fun little project. Although, out of all of the comparisons, I feel that Aoyama's and Blue Knight's were the most fair since the frames I used for both of their comparisons came from episodes Satoshi Ishino animation directed in the 2002 series and New. Wish that was possible to do for all the characters but with him directing 5 episodes of the 2002 series and only 2 in New, there weren't many options. It is what it is, I guess XD.

Thanks to Masha's simple design, I was able to finish the palette swaps for him and Tart a lot sooner than expected. Other than the heart shape on Masha's tail, once again, the main differences between both characters is lower color saturation.

The last pair of palette swaps will be the Blue Knight and Deep Blue. Those will take a bit longer due to them having so much hair XD.

I can't believe it's been over a year since I last finished one of these. I guess time does go by faster as you get older, especially when a lot of real-life stuff comes at you all at once XD.

Anyways, here are the palette swaps for Quiche and Pie. Not too much was changed, mainly just less saturation in the colors for TMMN.

Tart and Masha are next. I have some space in my schedule. So I'm hoping to finish all of the main characters either by the end of this month or early October.
