Low-Poly Leia because yes.
Here’s to Carrie Fisher, a badass princess, rebel, general, and overall amazing woman.
I had to delay posting this one since it was a gift for a friend.
Because Iron Fist currently doesn’t have a live action form (although it’s coming) this was done using an image of a 3-D model and two comic references.
Spread some love with Deadpool!
I took two images, one a screenshot and the other a promo photo, stuck ‘em together, and adjusted the saturation to get the reds to match. I had to paint in the rest of the forearms.
In celebration of Rogue One, I decided to throw in BB-8 from TFA. He’s really cute!

Wonder Woman in all her glory. I colored up the bodice and skirt so that they were more in line with her original colors.
Next up on my docket is the Justice League. With the movie on the way, I went with versions seen in the released announcement photo. Batman, though, had a little wiggle room. (Because he’s Batman!) I went with a smaller bat symbol on the chest - it’s a bit more classic - and I added some gold tones to the utility belt.
The biggest problem I run into when beginning a character is finding a good full-body pose. Sometimes I’ll get the pose from production photos of the action figures and the coloring from screen captures. Fury here is a perfect example of that process.
Like Iron Man, Thor took a little longer because of all the layers. That cape was a lot of fun, though, getting in all the wrinkles.
Spiderman required a fair amount of work in the very beginning. The source image was from Amazing Spiderman 2 - I really wanted that classic upside-down pose - but I felt the costume from Civil War had better coloring and detail. So I painted in the black bands in Photoshop and adjusted the colors so they were a little less saturated.
Hulk SMASH!
Bruce wasn’t that difficult compared to Iron Man. No armor, no guns, no bow, just pants. I did have to individually adjust the color on almost every poly because the color picker kept selecting darker segments on the chest from the hair that was in the original image. The pants were also fine tuned since they appeared more blue in the source photo.

Tony took a while to do. The Iron Man suit has so many layers, nooks, crannies - not to mention additional little details like the repulsors and chest piece. Between homework, my two part-time positions, and class, I finished this piece up in around 14 hours.
I have two versions of Bucky - one with the mask and one without (above). I combined elements of The Winter Soldier and Civil War in both Cap and Bucky’s costuming.
Cap’s shield had to be carefully rendered so that the highlight fell correctly across the surface.
The first two I started with.
Natasha’s image comes from a blend of two images found online. I went with the Avenger’s costume for Nat and the Civil War gear for Clint since it closer resembles the current look in the comics.
